It's difficult for me to sympathize with these kind of threads, and my response is always the same because I always get the same impression from the OP. And that is simply that you are burned out.

I've experienced this burnout on other mmos. You have to take a step back and ask yourself if the goals you have with playing an mmo line up with obtainable goals in the mmo you're playing. As an example, there are many FFXIV players who desire vertical progression, but that's not the system this game uses. So you either deal with it and find fulfillment elsewhere in the game, or find another mmo that matches your desired progression rate.

My experiences with previous mmos taught me a lot before I subbed to FFXIV. One of those was to create goals based off what the game has to offer, and another was to not spend 98% of my time grinding the 2% of the game's total content.

Of course, I can't expect everyone to get enjoyment from the game the same way I do, and I likely sit in the minority with how I do, but at the same time, I recognize that I found a way to keep myself from getting burned out. All that being said, my advice is to try to do the same within the parameters the game has set. If you cannot and are not enjoying your experiences in the game, there aren't many options left for you.
