    Inventory/Retainers Full?

So I am having a problem with my inventory and retainers filling up very quickly. I have most classes unlocked and above lvl 20 except DRK, RDM since that will add more gear I can not carry. I have a lot of WHM gear that I want to keep for glamour and this takes up a lot of my armory space.

In my inventory, I have tons of stuff considered "crafting material" so I do not want to get rid of them. I also have a ton of potions which I rarely use. What should I do with these potions? Sell them? Marketplace? Keep?

My retainers have gear that I will use on my other classes once they level up. They also have all my materia, some crafting stuff, faded music rolls, etc. They also have many dropped things like Unidentified Alligan Tombstones, Plates/Gears/Spring from Alexander, etc. I am not sure if I should keep like these gears/plates/tombstones. My main class is lvl 62 WHM and I have never had problems finding gear. Never had to use the springs and stuff before.

I have been trying to level all my classes to get rid of gear that none will need and trying to level crafting to combine materials and make music rolls, but this takes a long time.

What should I do with these? What should I keep, sell to merchants, or sell on marketplace?

Sell the potions. I stacked mine up for years only to sell most of them. Depending on servers, the Draconians can get you a decent amount, but probably not anymore.
Alexander items: turn them in for gear to keep or turn in as well.
Crafting items: See whats worth gil and what is not. If it comes down to space, sell the cheap stuff and get it when you actually need it. Trust me, the inventory spot is worth more than a gil or 2.
At the end of the day, with only 2 retainers, you reeeeeallly need to prioritize what you're gonna keep. My advice, keep only what you know you will use or use soon, and ditch anything cheap. If it's a job you wont level for awhile, turn in the extra gear, youll always get more gear in dungeons.

    >>Get rid of potions/mats. These often sell poorly (for too little gil, too infrequently). If the sale history shows less than 1-2 sales per day then it's vendor trash.

    >>Throw away combat gear under Lv60. Palace of the Dead is the best way to level a class from 1-60 and requires zero gear.

    >>Keep sparse sets above Lv60. A set for each job type for every 2-3 levels is OK and will leave you with upwards of 16 items in each armory tab.

    >>If the materia isn't VI for your class, sell/pitch it. End-game content (4.0-4.1) is VERY doable without it. You can stack up on Cracked Clusters (trades in for VI stuff) instead if you like.

    >>Consider pitching the music scrolls. Many require Master Crafting Books up to ALC Lv60 (read: HIGH minimum stat requirements to craft). If you're not impassioned by all crafting classes then don't worry about the scrolls.

Glamour and Music Scrolls are up to you, but hopefully this helps you cut down on some stuff!

I'd say don't throw away any gear that is under 60, if you're a crafter then you can desynthesize it and get material/gil/crystals, or you can donate it to your GC and get company seals.
also don't discard your potions, you can get your gil back by selling them in NPC shops.

Almost all crafters materials can be farmed (assuming you have leveled the gathering classes, which every crafter should do) very easily. My advice is if you are not using them right now, its best to just sell the crafting materials.

    Marketboard

    - Sell the crafting materials that you are not using on the marketboard.
    - If the materia is IV and lower, sell those on the marketboard aswell.
    - The music rolls can be crafted into orchestrion rolls by an Alchemist, find one or save them and craft them yourself in the future.
    - Sell the potions, but if you have a potion named Cordial, do not sell those, keep them for your gathering classes. I always have 99x cordial with me for when I need to farm alot of items.

    Grand Company:

    - Armour, weapons and accessories can be traded in for Grand Company Seals at your Grand Company HQ.
    - The tokens like the one from Alexander, if you have enough, you can trade them for armour and trade that armour in for Grand Company Seals.
    - The remaining tokens that you are not using, I would throw them out, unless you are planning on doing those raids again.

Once again, do not worry about crafting materials, aside from Leather (which a retainer can farm for you), almost all crafting materials can be farmed easily. So if I were you, I would sell them, make some room and just farm stuff when you need it.

TIP: If you have not unlocked the Ixali Daily Beastribe Quests, I would unlock them fast, they provide alot of experience points to crafting classes.
