I think you're putting too much weight on i330 gear vs i320. It's better, sure, but not a substitute for knowing mechanics and how to play your class. Claiming they're just high ilvl carry parties bereft of skill because they ask for a slightly higher ilvl is silly. It is ridiculous, period.
The only reason I don't make PF on my own is because the time it takes to fill up as a dps job (as a tank I don't mind). It has nothing to do with the ilv. From my point of view, people just want to be carried by high ilv on those farm parties nstead of skill.

There's a reason why groups are asking for high item levels. The majority of players who try to run it are complete garbage.
It took me several days of running Shinryu EX non-stop just to get a single clear, yet I pretty much knew the fight 100% after just a few attempts. When it comes down to it, Shinryu EX is really not a difficult fight. Phase 1 is easily the hardest part. But the problem is that a lot of players keep making the same stupid mistakes on Phase 1, regardless of item level. Yet all of Shineyu's mechanics are easily avoidable by any semi-competent player.
So, that is why people ask for higher item levels. It serves two purposes. It allows the party to skip mechanics, and it is the only real gauge with which you can somewhat check a player's competence. A player who only has an item level of 320 on his main class has probably never even cleared a boss in Omega Savage, and can't possibly be anywhere near competent enough to tackle Shinryu EX.
Its their parties, they can set the Ilvl any way they want. If you have issues make your own party with your own rules. You are not entitled to join a party. Farm parties since the invent of mmo have always had farm groups set to higher gear. This makes beating it on gear alone a sure thing.
Making friends is part of a true mmo experience, it isn't toxic to state such a thing, and to be frank your post is more toxic as you feel entitled to join everyone's party with low end gear.
Not trying to side with or against the OP, but wanting to skip mechanics is a legit way to play. Less mechanics means less things to learn, which means less time required to learn the fight before you clear. It also reduces the chance of people making mistakes which may potentially wipe the group.
Stop crying and open your own PF
After reading the title and opening this post I am truly surprised this post complains about the minimum ilevel requirements for Shinryu parties rather than the lack of player competence. I killed Shinryu a few days ago and I am yet to join a [Duty Complete] farm party that can actually reliably complete the fight. It seems very apparent that majority of the players either got lucky and/or got carried through the fight with most of the party consisting of a static.
As for your concerns regarding the ilevel requirements, most of the farm parties out there are ones for the mount. It's absolutely understandable that players will be looking for other well geared players to skip as many parts of the fight as possible and reduce the time it takes to complete the fight. You should open your own PF for weapon farming, considering that the weapon isn't relevant to a lot of players with the 340/345 weapons available.

oh, this song and dance again.
OP, Make your own parties and do your own rotations, then, when you are done flailing about and cursing your incompetence, watch youtube and conform to the masses.

This, unfortunately. Frustrated with the several trap parties I found, I decided to start my PF with a high ilvl requirement (and your usual "high dps please" comment that nobody seems to read before joining). Even if the other members aren't great, the high ilvl will at least be enough to have some decent dps, I thought. Also, if they're 335+ it means they could clear some omega savage turns, so they can't be too bad. Alas, we didn't even manage to skip the divebomb. What a joke.

This BS is why I've lost interest in endgame raids altogether. I have no interest in even dealing with cliques (let's just do away with the "make friends" trope straightaway) who are little more than blind FFlogs slaves looking for easy clears.

Yeah, its bad enough meeting Toxic Cliques in roulettes or in the game world.
