Rant about Shinryu Farm/Clear parties

I wish they'd break the trend of making crafted tank accessories best in slot for DPS, because I'm essentially forced to get the 330/340 accessories just so I can get into these groups that require high ilvl.

You atleast play tank. Getting group is easy for you. I have bis geared summoner and getting group is insanely hard with caster especially after summoner changes. Most players greed weapons anyway because most have genji weapon on main class. I have managed get one scholar globe with greed roll during 15 runs. After 10 runs you can buy your melee weapons anyway.

I have a BiS Blm and haven't even been in yet, groups actively exclude Blm from pf groups because "meta".

So, are people stupid or what? all farm parties always wants minimum ilv 330+ but you can easily skip second Aerial blast with normal 320 comps. (just don't die)

I only have tanks on lv 330+ and I want to farm weapons for my melee dps and I simply can't, because they aren't in this ridicoulous minimum ilv.

Yeah, I've saw that before in ARR and HW but never in this scale. You need almost the minimum ilv of the weapon that drops to farm (or even clear/progress) the content.

Im tired to run this battle as tank. And please don't give me obvious answeers like "Do with your friends". This comunity is getting so toxic.

I think he meant the second tidal wave. Its week one people need to calm down with the ilvl nonsense. Also yeah it is pretty frustrating joining clear parties or final phase progression and people join and still don't know how to survive the first 2 mins. Is that fun for you to just waste people's time and after forcing that group to disband you immediately join another one and continue the cycle? Now that is why I am angry.

btw if you don't want to go as tank nor want to wait for your own group to be fill, there is nothing you can do.
It's not worst than usual. Atleast they are sure that you use your main to avoid sub dps (yet I have multiple 330+ but whatever)

It's funny that the parties that set up higher requirements usually won't even clear, while parties with lower requirements last longer.

I never join parties with ridiculous requirements even if I can.

I believe we need something else than ilv to setup party requirements.

Players tend to setup high ilv requirements in farm parties because it's the only parameter that can be used to measure one's dps. Although we know things don't work like that.

How many times I've seen players barely pulling their weight in ilv330 gear while less geared people are a lot more skilled and actually know their job ?


This could be easily solved with a mean of performance filtering : mandatory SSS clears for joining PF farm parties would be a start.

Create your own PF with the ilvl you feel it's appropriate. No need to create a thread about "how unfair it is for people to set a PF with a "high" ilvl" .

Just don't join me move on and sort your own PF. It makes you wonder what goes through people's head sometimes
