    With roulettes there's literally never going to be a point where no one does it. SE has a good system for a dungeons longevity. I don't see why glamour hunters should suffer through painful levels of RNG for no reason.

    They might also only run it twice and never again afterwards. Or once, if you are only after a single piece.

    If the drop rate for a given piece is 10%, then on average it will take around 10 runs to get (Probably more like 11,41263247 or sth due to outliers being uncapped). RNG doesn't do that much different than a token/count system. All RNG does is to make the distribution less fair - Some get what they want the first time around, but to compensate, others have to work far more than the average suggests. You still get the same average however. RNG systems are essentially a subsidy/tax in which the unlucky pay for the lucky.

    So many people saying that because we have a lot more new jobs, that it lowered the chances of gaining what they wanted that much. For all those jobs, we only got 1 new set, ninja, since it's a dex based melee. All the other new jobs share a set with older jobs.

    As far as rng goes, yes, it can feel quite bad sometimes. But the mindset you have when going into it can affect it greatly. Going in expecting to get 1 specific part (generic exemple that seems to appear in most of the complain posts: bard chest piece) you will have a guaranteed hard time, but that's on you. When I go in, my goal is to get one of the 5 pieces of a set i want, once i get 3 or 4 pieces of that set, to not limit myself i extend what i roll on to pieces of a second set I am interested in. Sometimes you get unlucky and even like that you don't get what you want, but that is how rng work.

    I remember old mmorpgs where you farmed the same boss over and over again for months, sometime years to get the piece you wanted, piece that had a 0.01% chance of droping thanks. Ho, and the boss had a 24h respawn time most of the time because why not. And I saw in this same forum someone asking for something like that! Progression gear on a random drop from A or S ranks!! Different people like different stuff I guess.

    This is a legitimate concern and it is potentially only going to get continually worse under the current system in dungeons and raids as more and more jobs are introduced. I'm not going to sit here and do the napkin math but since ARR has launched I believe there have been a total of 6 new jobs (Ninja, Dark Knight, Astrologian, Machinist, Samurai and Red Mage), so the percentage chance of seeing a piece of gear for your job has gone down considerably over the course of only two expansions.



    Dark Knigh share Armor with PLD,WAR. So outside Weapon no the drop rate did no change
    AST with WHM,SCH so no it hasn't changed the drop rated.
    MCH with BRD.
    SAM with MNK
    RDM with BLM, SMN

    So the only class the change the drop rate was Ninja like 4 years ago.

    The raid is the same like every 24 man there has been sadly. I still remember CT and the around 100 runs it took me to get Crimson Robe of Casting (no not even joking)
    The rng system SE uses is rather much junk
    X Amount of runs = guaranteed something would have been better.
    The new dungeon i have ran many times ( i rather like it) and have yet to see any caster gear drop.

    I am tired of it all so now just grab what i could for whatever small chance i have at winning rolls, lol

    I like how some dungeons they made it so you automatically get gear specific to your job, obviously thy cannot do so for a 24 man, but it sure was nice

    Token system would be nice for 24-man, but I fear they wouldn't change it because then people will only run once a week. At least as it is you try to run a few times before giving up and grabbing something random.
    they can do it this way:
    - only 1 token each day (everyone can roll on it)
    - a gear will cost 7 tokens
    - 7 tokens will removed from the inventory once you win a gear roll of the week

    I still hope that one day, I'll get the tank body of the first Cristal Tower raid... I've done it since day one, run it mostly as tank, seen it 3 times, 1, I was WHM and lost the roll to the tank (need > greed obviously). For the 2 other times, I was the tank and loost to the other tank :/
    I'd rather have every dungeon drop to work like the savage raid and extremes : every run grant you a token, and 5-25 token let you "buy" a piece of this raid/dungeon/extremes etc

    Edit : in case of daily / weekly drop limitation, make it that once you direct win a roll and/or reset day comes, delete stored token from inventory (and put token in devise/money screen, not inventory !!!!)

    Your chance have increased with 4.1, now that there are only 1 tank in each group.

    I've been doing this dungeon for almost a week now. I think I'm up to about 74-75 runs. I have all of the tank accessories, the boots, the gloves, pants and goggles. But the chest piece won't drop. I haven't seen it not once but I've literally seen every other chest after the final boss. I got 3 healer coats today and a maiming one today.

    Like I get that RNG is involved but its very disheartening when you're working for something and NEVER see any results. It just feels like something is off with the drop rate in this place. They need to get rid of the stupid shards and crystals in the chests and add another chest after the final boss if you can get pants and a coat from it.
