I just want the ears really. The rest of the outfit would be based on what they release.

I'm still waiting on it as well. There is nothing else from the gold saucer I want so I have been waiting on this. (Was hoping for it in 4.1 but they only added a mount that I don't even want right now) I just want to see what it would like on my character before deciding whether to get it or not. I honestly want something that may look sexy on my character (anything we have now is not good enough), it won't be for other people's reactions. No one cares what you wear anyway.
When the bunny suit was released I was still playing a male elezen and back then I didnt wanted to suit so much as only the ears, to make an actual non-sexy-bunny-costume for eastern (using the ears and the reindeer-suit... because apparently males can be reindeers and put reindeer-antlers on, but not ears). But I couldnt. I didnt wanted to use it to get an antagonist reaction (and seriously anyone who has an antagonist reaction to males wearing skimpy clothes, fishnet, bunny ears, whatever is the problem here, not people putting their male characters into such things... specially if those people dont have the same reaction to female characters in similar clothes).
So yeah, I would have used it back then and would still use it today on my lalafell-alt - not even as sexy outfit, but as a funny one. Please consider that a lot of sets arent used whole anyways - male characters are missing out on mix-matching-options here aswell, just like the ears, ribbons/gloves and shoes.
Hang on, people are annoyed at the idea of male characters wearing skimpy clothes? There's plenty of outfits for eye candy to those interested in the feminine side of things, so I really don't see the problem with giving those who like their men scantily clad some equal treatment.
And yes, I demand fishnets.
I'm not putting this much energy in just to make a joke of myself. The Elezen male hempen top can only take you so far. Bare chest? Yes please, collar or suspenders would be nice. Fishnets? I'd go for those, but as the idea of them terrifies a lot of people I'd be just as happy with some decent patent leather shorts which could work with dozens of legitimate glamour ideas, sexy, fun or otherwise. The ears would be great for Hatchingtide parties. I already have dozens of high heels so don't care how they do the shoes (an Elezen can never have too many long boots, however).
My wife most definitely uses her sexy glamours to be provocative without a trace of shame and she's never been questioned on her motives for enjoying clothes. It's one of those fun gaming double standards which mean we can't have nice things like innocuous costume bunny ears.Hang on, people are annoyed at the idea of male characters wearing skimpy clothes? When a male Lalafell or a male Roegadyn use skimpy clothing plus a giant fat chocobo head or moogle head, I doubt they do so because they think chickens are sexy. So yes, people do put effort in using male sexuality to negatively provoke people.Hang on, people are annoyed at the idea of male characters wearing skimpy clothes? Or so they believe anyway.
Maybe they dont think its "sexy" but maybe thats also not their intention and they just want something more funny or silly instead - not to anger people but because its funny for themself? Seriously, we got that swin-body. We got a full chocobo-set. But men in fishnet are terribly provocative, while females can wear fishnet and bellydancer-outfits without issues...? If you - or anyone - has a problem with less "decent" clothing at least apply it to everyone. When a male Lalafell or a male Roegadyn use skimpy clothing plus a giant fat chocobo head or moogle head, I doubt they do so because they think chickens are sexy. I'm really into Juni Taisen right now; Would love to see some Usagi cosplayers running around. <3
