How doo you think shinryu stacks up compared to the other ex primals?

Took a lockout to clear. Much easier than Thordan Ex, which I thought it was billed as being as competitive as. But of course their target was in-between O2S and O3S difficulty, and well I don't need to explain how much of a snoozer O2S is.

Things are much different now than Gordias days "between A2S and A3S".

I think its right were a primal should be difficulty wise. There's always some primals that are just way too easy right off the bat, like bismarck and susano/lakshmi. They should try to keep it consistent with this difficulty, and maybe bring back a bis jewelry reward so the content isn't DOA or just good for an alt class.

The only problem is the P1 if you don't look at the enmity bar (to see the next cast) and try to look at his wings to know what's happen ... He is so big I can't see shit.
Adds phase is nothing special and easy to handle, and last phase ... wtf is that phase? Nothing happen.

Conclusion? Easy fight but hard to see anything from the boss itself, spend time watching bars (and if you don't, you may forgot the heart if you focus wings and don't remember when the heart pop...).

Shinryu isn't even that hard. What's hard is finding people who can actually pay attention to mechanics. However SHEX has got the be the best fight involving staring at an enmity bar for most of the fight.

I find it interesting (and rewarding in a PF) that the last phase is easier than the first phase.

I'd say this is an underappreciated method to long boss fights. Sometimes, it's quite a relief to have difficult fights throw the hardest parts of the fight at you early on, then slightly dumb it down from there. Perhaps even have a DPS check of sorts at the very end, akin to how The Lich King was handled in WoW. Definitely was one of my favorite boss mechanics and I greatly appreciated the quick story driven final phase.

Not a fan personally, but not because I think it's difficult. Just tired of yet another primal where falling off the arena to insta-death is used as a gimmick. Something like half the primals have this mechanic and it's stale, IMO.

Oh I am 100 percent on board with this cant stand the falling off gimic especially now when you can get rez, but at the same time Id say that with shinyru its pretty hard to fall off. Its not like titan , levitan, or sophia, where some of their mechancis whole point is to make you fall off the platform I hope not to see another primal like that again.
