Another I can't believe I forgot to throw in my hat for: Dedicated crafting material storage.

Seriously, aside from the cash-shop-focused nature of the systems, just straight up copy GW2 in terms of storage, wardrobe, and dyeing.

I can see why they have it so you dismount when talking to a NPC. WoW has something similar(or had? only during certain times? haven't played since 7.0) where you'd automatically dismount around quest NPCs so folks wouldn't block them with their giant mounts.

I honestly would be OK if "Can't do that while mounted" was simply eliminated in (essentially) all circumstances, even if that just means forcing a dismount. With NPCs in general, this already works, but in a lot of cases (and... I believe in the case of beast tribe quest mounts), it doesn't. So you can turn that into a general "Don't yell at me or fail because I'm mounted" desire. >_>

Going to echo the fishing tackle/bait box and glamour log.

Closets. They implemented storage, so now I know this is possible. Closets would be available at residences/apartments, but also at the inns for those players who don't have those luxuries. You can store and organize gear here.

Stat weights I wanna know how much % crit and how much % tenacity, skill speed, direct hit % I have it's so archaic that we don't have that in the 3rd expansion other MMOs have been doing that since 2006.

Glamour log too there's no reason why we don't have it it'd solve the inventory issues in 1 fell swoop.

Selecting a crafting recipe automatically turning you in to that crafter.

Being able to rearrange items while gathering or crafting.

While crafting multiple items at the menu and selecting a recipe, suddenly having a character limit on your typing.

Toggling off the FATE music, mounts with boss tracks would be more fun if it wasn't interrupted by these things that would be irrelevant to the passing by player 9 times out of 10.

I very much agree with this! The FATE music has been the same since ARR launch. I wouldn't mind it so much if we had differing themes for HW and SB areas, but we don't and that ARR FATE music has long since become boring to hear.

FFXIV got an award for the most music in a MMO, yet we still have the same FATE music each expansion lol. It can kinda ruin the feel of an area too, hearing this same old tune play in new areas. I'd really like if they remixed or wrote new music for HW/SB FATEs.

And of course the option to toggle it off like you said because it will all get boring to hear eventually, even with the change I described. :P

Gotta agree with the audio stuff- it's absolutely silly that I can't switch my output in-game. It's gotten to the point where I use two headsets when I join groups- one plugged into my speakers, and one around my neck so I can use the mic. There has to be a better way. Also, on the topic of audio, I'd like finer controls- sometimes I just want to keep hearing the ambient map music but I have to fight stuff for daily hunts and quests. Can there be an option to disable certain types of music (FATEs and over-world combat in particular)?

It's not a complete solution but you can try a virtual audio device like the Razer Surround Client (I downloaded it for free, it didn't come with any sort of razer hardware either, there's a barebones free version). You assign your system volume controls to this and switch with the virtual audio device rather than the system sound. FFXIV recognizes the switch. It's still alt-tabbing but at least it's not logging off.
