Sound isn't working

It was working fine yesterday, up until an hr before I stopped, and it hasn't worked since then. Can someone help me? I generally turn it off and on, so I know what all that does (to for stall the 'have you checked to make sure it's on'). Yes, I have checked and it says it's not muted. Any help?

I, unfortunately, have this same issue, and the only solution I’ve found is to completely back out of the game, and relaunch the client. I’ve tried various other methods, but this is the only one that seems to work.

Odd when I look at my Volume Mixer and it shows FFXIV as completely maxed out in terms of volume, yet I hear nothing from the game.

Oh bless you! That worked! Which is weird because it started yesterday so I'd exited it to go to bed and started it up again, and the sound wasn't working. But doing that just now made it work. Weird.
