You should only be able to set the wallpaper while you are in house editing mode, just like dyeing furniture.

I agree! If they could make it so flower pots and partitions were editable when you are placing furniture then there would be no need for them to be ''interactive'' at all ^_^~!

I must say though, I am impressed that they retain their wallpaper choices when stored as well. These are great furnishings.
