[Glam Request] Please allow glasses + our head gear choice

Glasses and so forth would not display either at first, but after seeing how many people called for us to do something, anything, to address this after the announcement, the character team took it upon themselves to use their spare moments to make it possible—without telling me. More than five hundred and forty such items were carefully modified by our designers so that all would display correctly with our new face models.

I had thought of a possible solution to this is to use the glamour slots of your accessories so SE doesn't have to pass more information than it already does, like you can glamour glasses onto your bracelet. Which would also allow adding other things like badges, backpacks, and more non-slot specific glamour possibilities - conflicts handled by white/blacklist tags so no two glasses on at the same time sort of thing lol.

They could add a new slot of course but I was thinking another new slot to be transferred might be hard for them to do (I'm not saying no or it has to be one way or another, it's just a guess seeing as they've been super careful with their memory usage so far. Also makes it clear then that it's just a visual (when it's not in it's own slot but rather placed over an item as a glamour), since if you did do another slot instead you'd have headgear slot (that glasses could be in) and then the glasses slot which would behave like a glamour slot lol (no stats).

I might have misread it but I think that just means Viera and Hrothgar can wear some nice heardgear choices now (540 ish, quite a good number). While OP is asking for being able to wear glasses and hat choices at the same time.

Well I suppose it is exciting news lol. I don't know how many models there are for headgear in this game but I can't imagine 540 headgears.. so that's pretty great number . I was just confused at first because I thought it might mean I misread the dev letter (I read your quote from them first that it was addressing hats + glasses).

Glasses Hrogthgar is pretty dapper. :3

Glasses look terrible on every character I've seen in FFXIV. It either makes them look like an anime edgelord or Garth from Wayne's World. But, I would like to have more than 1 face/head slot.
Honestly, I would rather be able to have blush & eyeshadow/ extra face paint option.
