    Highest Tourney scores possible?

I thought 1780 was the highest amount of points you could get assuming you win all 20 games when dueling Flichoirel the Lordling (89 points per win).

    Leviathan Server

    Diabolos Server

Is there an NPC I'm missing that rewards more points than Flichoirel the Lordling or are these top placed players cheating in some way?

They played against other players. I haven't done a TT tourney for awhile but that's always a better way to get points than dueling NPCs. There's a matching NPC in the Battlehall that will pit you against other players currently in the hall for tournament matches. That being said, there's a possibility that on top of that they were win-trading, but I'm not as versed atm to see all the signs but there are a few I'm suspicious of in those ranks, though simply being over 1780 isn't an indicator. You may also wish to blacken out names in screenshots, particularly in posts that allege wrongdoing on individuals as it can be seen as name-shaming/witch-hunting, which is against the rules of the OF.

I got lucky and got all my tournament cards off of 1 3rd place finish and 8ish months worth of the packs you get for high scores. Once i had the cards i stopped entering tournaments, and all of this was over a year ago so i dont know if theyve changed the scoring since. But i used to get 125-140 points per win versus another player, and depending on the deck sometimes as many as 80-100 points off a draw. None of those scores scream win trading either(though they very well could be). Take the top score on that diabolos board. If they played only other players(and if the scoring is similar to what i remember), 9 wins at 125 points plus 11 draws at 80 points would actually end up at 2005 points scored. So thats probly like 9 wins, 2-3 losses and 8-9 draws.

Wintrading happens. I beat two of them in the last tournament on my server. It was a great feeling.

The maximum score for beating 20 PC opponents is around 2450, based on 120-124 points per win.

It's pretty easy to abuse the system sadly.

I get at least 2100 everytime there's a Plus tournament - it's where I excel. I pretty much always get at least 1900. Playing against players is how you get good scores, providing you have good cards and are generally good at the game (and don't get too unlucky).

Innocence doesn't mean an absence of wickedness, nor is it represented by the absence of anger or hatred. Innocence is when seeing others hurt also hurts you. When one becomes blind to the people suffering in the world, that is what it means to have lost one's innocence.

I'm curious here - why build a collection of cards if you're just gonna stop playing? Do you not play for love of the game?

Who said i dont play? I said i stopped entering tournaments. Im usually fine on MGP, i dont generally enjoy tournaments, and back when i was entering every one it was hard some weeks to find the time to do the matches(and yes, i know they cut the number of matches per tournament). So if i dont need what the tournaments give, or enjoy the tournament process, why enter? Why not leave one more spot toward the bottom of the leaderboard(on the weeks i would do well) for someone else?

And as to why build a collection, why build a collection of mounts, orchestrion rolls, or minions? The only mount you need to get around is your company chocobo(a few others end up having story-specific reasons for existing), LoV was DoA, and you can only enjoy your orchestrion if youre sitting in your house/inn room. So thats while decorating or maybe crafting IF you have a house, and generally not at all if youve just got the inn. Some people just enjoy collecting - whether its the process, the challenge, or just having the things.
