Understanding your limit break

I'd be curious to know if anyone has actual data on this; I've always operated on the assumption that ranged physical hit harder than caster, but I have zero evidence to back that up. Maybe they do the same damage?

the devs came out and stated this.

lb melee hit harder due to single target. straightline and aoe hit for a bit less due to being AOE. look up the recent live letters it was brought up in one of those, or watch mondays with mrhappy he talked about it there as well repeating what the devs said.

Some advice on LBs in dungeons. Its actually better and saves more time to use an aoe limit break on trash mobs rather then the boss because using aoe on trash saves much more time then killing a boss 10 seconds faster.

not really, people will not learn much if ppl lb trash mobs. How can a tank learn to survive large pulls if ppl just lb them down. Also not every group comp in df has a player who use the aoe lb.

This...Makes no sense. "Don't do this thing that makes things easier because someone may need to learn how to do harder pulls where you may not pull that many due to lack of AoE in the first place"?

Is the LB potency actually displayed anywhere outside of PvP?

I think it might discourage people from using ranged/caster LB on single targets when melee are present if they could see how much lower the potency is.

Tank LB for those moments you want to progress and don't feel like meeting the enrage anyway cause I aint all about dat meta yo.
