Thread: Dear SE: I Like Arenvald. . . Please Don't Kill Him (4.1 Spoiler-free)

I thought little of him throughout Stormblood, just another Ala Mighan fighting for home. . . When he saw Zenos defeated, sounded the horn, and rose up the flag while everyone sang, I thought, "That's my boy! Raise it up proudly!"

As of 4.1, it was nice to learn more about him, and see just how much conviction and heart he has. He's just the right amount of humble, and dorky, but reliable that I would now consider him a friend, arguably as much as the other Scions now. . . Please don't kill him off.

Don't give them the idea!

They already have the idea, its just whether they will fake us out or not. That said throw my hat in on "keeping him alive". While he may only now be getting a bigger part he has been with the Scions since near the start of ARR.

Don't worry. Limb loss, imprisonment, and entire servers couldn't stop him. Pretty sure nothing short of a battle against Godbert might stop him.

I am not really a fan of him. I don't dislike him, but I am not liking him like I like(d) Moenbryda or Haurchefant (rip you two) or the other Scions for that matter. Maybe he will grow on me in time. Also stop it with Fedola. We get it. You like her. At least that was my vibe on him. It is a lost cause as Fedola does not care in return.

Kill Lyse if you must. Don't go the Moenbryda way og introducing a new character to kill and plot shield the old timers.

I don't think it's attraction as much as it is he sees himself in her. Someone who had it rough early on like him, and made some bad choices, but isn't beyond saving. If he could climb up from the man he was and become a Scion, perhaps she can become more than what she is now too. Arenvald's indeed a good man. Not the smartest, but the Scions have plenty of brainpower. Nice to have a friend on the frontline, ready to fight with you again.
