Call me crazy, but don't you need to 2 Fieldcraft Demimateria III's to make one of the items to trade for Talan, which will only get you 1 Fieldcraft Demimateria III, netting you a loss of 1 Fieldcraft Demimateria III per craft?

I think the idea is that people can trade their items to Talan for Demimateria IIIs now that those items are largely useless, helping you to recover a bit of the cost of them.

I think the idea is that people can trade their items to Talan for Demimateria IIIs now that those items are largely useless, helping you to recover a bit of the cost of them.

The items you need to trade in for the artisan-gear (the stuff that can desynth into both Fieldcraft III and Mastercrafter) dont require Fieldcraft III - the gsm only needs to rosegold-nuggets for example. So no, you wont lose any demimateria.
Its worth noticing that you can buy the artisan-gear for GC-seals now aswell! So if you've got spare ones, theres another option for you!
