    Constant Error Kicks and Lag

    Hello,

    Been experiencing some major lag in the game. I am uncertain if it could be an issue with my ISP since their customer service line is currently closed. However, I have a number of friends who are also experiencing bad lag and server kicks.

    Server: Gilgamesh.
    Started: Around 5pm HST today, 10/12/2017
    Error Numbers (So far): 9006 / 9002 / 9001 / 1015 / 2000

    Nothing has change for me since patch 4.06a, still experiencing lag spikes and eventually error 90006. I feel like a broken record in this part of the forums. I've been saying the same thing for the past...45 days? If I decide to post here.

    The thing that irks me the most is the absolute silence. I've never seen a response from any of SEs "technicians". The best you can hope for is that your thread gets move to "Being Addressed".

    I actually had a thread titled "Constant Lag Spikes since patch 4.06a.". And for some reason that is now in "Resolved Issues."...but it's never been resolved. Terrible communication on the forums for such a successful MMO.

    Sure if many people get outraged at not getting a house then "Oh my, we need to make a post and calm them down." Yet the REAL issues in technical support get no posts what so ever.

    That's my rant over, I guess. But not for long! I'll likely be posting in that Data Center threads in the coming days if nothing changes! I've already posted there before though. :x

    Try WTFast for the duration of the 2 week free trial and see if it helps you. You can open and use a paypal account without a funding source attached to it for this too to ensure you aren't billed. I, myself, find their service beneficial, as it has almost eliminated these issues for me. Unfortunately, there is no clear-cut magical solution to this is it is usually due to an ISP routing issue or server distance from the player. For some people, changing their DNS settings to route from google has helped, but first, I'd try to use the free trial as this may determine if it's a routing issue.

    This does not work for PS4 however, and like always YMMV.

    Sure VPNs work I bet. But what's baffling me is that before the 4.06a patch my connection to the game was immaculate, no problems, super awesome, all the positive words. But then after that patch it went down hill and stayed that way.

    I'd understand using a VPN if I had this issue always, but it was right after a patch that something changed and hasn't been resolved since.

    I still get constantly even using a VPN service. Get no lag spike just instantly without warning kicks me. Yesterday game played fine today back to being kicked every few minutes. Doesn't seem to happen to me when under the water gathering. Putting servers in CA was worst idea. Bet the disconnects that's affecting ones is from northern fires in CA interrupting the paths.

    Well, if it was a patch issue, then shouldn't it happen to everybody?

    That specific patch was "Infrastructure maintenance" I remember. It's clear it's not effecting everyone, that doesn't mean it's not a fault with SE. Players have differing routes to the servers, differing ISP configurations. The sole purpose of the Data Center sticky at the top this part of the forums is to help alleviate these problems with the many varying ISPs and w/e else. I wouldn't be posting so regularly here if the issue wasn't so night and day from before and after that patch.
