There are many games out there with Fantastic Ideas.
Wildstar,ESO,Tera,RIFT all those games have something unique to offer.
You dont need to copy paste their ideas but you can find a wonderful way to bring them to the FFXIV lore.

XIV does a lot of things right, but calling it 'vastly superior' to WoW is laughable. Both games have amazing content, and horrible content. But neither is superior to the other.
