People can disagree with me all they want - just as I disagree with some of the things said in response. It's an agree to disagree moment for me. I'm not painting anybody as a hacker. I'm dealing with that away from the forums. That being said, I stand by my word. I don't feel I'm incorrect about what I originally said. Obviously, you are not going to change your stance on it either, so...this is just one of those threads that really will not go anywhere at this point.

I have thoroughly read all of your posts and I'm going to reply with all due respect.

I will start by saying that I disagree with your last sentence, mainly because none of your posts seemed to be open to debate, there's a moment in my opinion where there's a compromise to be made if you're willing to further delve into discussion.

For example, if you had explained to me why you would think World Quest taken from WoW were bad from a design perspective, I would've been more willingly to participate into your subject at hand.

With that said, the only way that your own thread will go somewhere or not is actually into your hands.

I for one think that FFXIV and WoW are in mutually beneficial relationship .

Maybe in the future, when I’m not quite as agitated and if this thread is still active when I come back to the forums. Admittedly, I got extremely heated in the moment and yeah, I left no room for debate. If you are willing to revisit this, then yes, I will be more open to debate. Got account issues to deal with for the time being, and then there’s my own admitted single-mindedness when it comes to certain stances that I take.

But thank you for the respectful post. I don’t quite deserve it, but you have my thanks nonetheless.

I see this fairly often. People will bash WoW just because it exists...as if XIV is some god tier MMO. I love XIV, that's why I keep playing (and I admittedly play it more than WoW anymore), but there are things that WoW simply does better because it has been around longer. XIV could use a few things it has like the wardrobe where you have all your appearances which you can use for glamours (transmogs in WoW terms), pet battles as opposed to Lords of Verminion, and simply more open world content.

Well we saw the same thing back in the XI days, people was bashing either XI or WOW.

As for endgame, ffxiv is already like WoW pre-legion. You cap badges (tomes) and clear heroics/mythics (savage) then you're done for the week.

The thing I like about legion is there's always something to do as opposed to afking in major cities. With Eureka coming out, I hope SE introduces some sort of endgame progression.

I would love that but im afraid eureka is only going to be another Diadem zone for grinding your relic weapon

According to theior own words this latest one isn't faring that much better either, point is blizzard is excellent at selling a product so they ain't going down ever. Wow will only die when blizzard says so That's the end of it

That's kinda interesting...got a source on that? I tried Googling subscription numbers and only came up with the 10.1 million number they released in an interview shortly after Legion (which I'd say is hardly "not doing well"...).

There's always this digression between 'subscribers' and 'active accounts'. I'm one of both WoWs and FFXIV so I'm not attacking either but the numbers are always very opaque to what their actual meanings are. Yet there is no doubt that at the start of Legion WoW got back to the golden days of at least 7+ mil active players from what I read.

Never let it be said that I am unreasonable. I made some premature assessments and took this discussion to a level of shouldn't have gone in the first place, and paid the price for it and other things.

I am interested in a more productive discussion in the future though, one that I can word much better than what I did.
