Honestly..if you pay for this stuff...you deserve to get robbed/ripped off.

It's a scam/sham/total rip off honestly.

The game is not that hard - you do not need to fall prey to this crap.

I wish SE would just flat out ban it and put it under "RMT" because honestly...it really is a form of it when you get right down to it.

not to mention the obvious fact you may end up losing your account info by handing it over to them (MANY other companies/games will ban you for giving your information out!)- I mean how else do they do it in the first place? "assist" you? Why pay gil when you can start a PF and give everyone bonuses for helping you.

Don't get it at all..are there that many suckers falling prey to this?

Clearly you have no idea how run selling works. You don't give the sellers any kind of log in information at all. Most groups just take you and ask to to die asap, and then just clear the fight with the 7 other people. I'd love to hear your reasoning for how run selling is tantamount to RMT as well.

Agreed, however during early stages and previous raid tiers, you needed someone to pilot the 8th account. Specially if the selling group wasn't too trained for the fight. But these are extremely rare situations nowdays.

Responding to the person you quoted, branding the run selling as RMT is wrong as long as there is no real money involved. If it's only gil, then it doesn't matter and the sellers don't care/know where that gil comes from. If anything, only the gil buyer should be punished. Ultimately, about the whole thing, if there's demand, there will be people willing to sell it.

I've seen groups advertising selling Ultimate Coil, how are they pulling that off with 7 people?

Also the fact a lot of these groups are advertising across the entire data center and insist on being contacted Discord makes it look like they are asking for something else besides gil because you can't trade gil with someone on a different server.

Although there are 7-man-kills out there I still have to meet a guy with bought O4s kill who didn't hand over login data to get their clear. (I know of 3 people only though).

Same for a (hypothetical) ultimate kill. Not possible with 7 for the next 12 months at least.

Technically those people are bannable for handing over those data and afair it's still pretty common at least for early sell runs in x.x0 patches.

I don' think A4/A8/A12 were 7-manable in the first month.
The first reddit entry to 7man A12s was from mid january'17, that is almost 4 months after release...
way after this was sold by a lot of groups.

Clearly you didn't read my post...please bother to do so before you respond.
You don't need to sell runs...you volunteer your time and you get paid in bonus tomes for your trouble...its that simple. People who take it further than that are abusing the system.
Its too easy to get a PF together unsynch it and just get it done. I also find it incredibly suspicious to ask for out of game communication contact and not just rework the party finder to work what you need.

It may not be RMT...but it smells like it.
