Feedback: Bard HUD Gauge

Apologies if this has been discuss elsewhere and point me in that direction if it has, but I was wondering if there was a way to set the Bard song gauge not to display when not in use.

I currently have my gauge positioned near the top of the screen to the left of the enemy HP bar. While this is great for me in combat, out of combat I have this translucent item just floating out in no-mans land. Even the Simple Mode looks fugly and out of place in non-combat.

Please SE, return it to 4.0 where it was not shown during non-combat.

The same happens with MCH's heat gauge now too. I'd like to either be able to choose whether the gauge is hidden or translucent when not singing/having gauss barrel on, or for the game to automatically switch between translucent when in combat and hidden when not.
