Why are people assuming they can't socialize in instance based housing?

I mean... has there been an MMORPG that prevented friends and invited people or visitors from entering the instance housing without owner's permission?

List them here and we should really talk about it. Because people are keep assuming that instance is preventing from people socializing, but the only thing I see it being negative is to have neighbors. But I've never seen neighbors actually talk to each other.

Why are people assuming the house isn't a instance already? Cause it is. The wards serve only for the purpose to access this instances easily and the wards isn't the problem, they can easily multiply the wards, cause they are an instance as well. They already told that the problem with houses is to store the amount of data generated by each single house.

And yes there is socializing in wards, is not cause you never saw it, that it doesn't exist.

Change apartment to Condominium

The condominium will be a duplex type condo meaning there will be two floors and will be the size of a small house. A balcony can be purchased as an upgrade for gardening.

Put fun into getting a condo, you can add Condominium utility which everyone in that condo unit can share these utilities, these utilities would be:

1) A gym - training dummies for everyone to use
2) A SWIMMING POOL (So people can swim and stuff)
3) Workshop (Where people can use crafting station for a small fee
4) BBQ pit! People can buy food there and be a gather spot for people to chill and meet with her condominium owners!
5) ChocoPark (Carpark) where you can park your chocobo there and do Chocobo stuff
6) Condo transport to people to Exploratory Voyages.

These will help because you will then eliminate the need for people to get their own house because they can do everything in it!~
PLUS IT IS AN INSTANCE thus helping with the server stress if any.

Some players have made friends with their neighbours. The concern is if the entire house and garden is instanced then players of different homes will not see each other when they're at their residence.

there's a difference between socializing with randoms who live/visit the ward you are in, and inviting someone to your instance.
Imagine if the quicksands was instanced housing for instance, it would be tiny tiny pockets of people each in separate instances and some left out, because are you really gonna accept an invite from a complete random?

Now as it is now, people can come and go freely, walk by, maybe stop for a bit and have no issues meeting/socializing with others, etc. but with socializing a lot of that goes out the window, also the view would go as well, I like looking at the eye candy of others peoples well decorated houses.

I think that players lose sight of the fact that there is time and money that goes into running the game and trying to figure out housing. It isn't a game critical item so they may have it put off on the to-do-list somewhere in the middle but not priority. To expect 10k individual houses in a 10k player server might be asking too much, generating each individual house and that information of how it's built etc. (albeit per ward) It's much easier to run a room than an entire ward.

It's about how you treat total strangers that you've only met in a place now and then. Rhalgr's Reach, Kugane, or back then Idyllshire/Mor Dhona doesn't put context to conversations other than my e-peen is bigger than yours type of talk. Movies or other interests usually confined to FC/LS talk. Seeing how another people change their house is a dynamic in the game, makes me think what they are up to now or later.

While I get the neighbour aspect is something people like but when it prevents potential homeowners from owning land because of scarcity of plots I don't think it's a great feature. I rather have instanced housing.
