Why not? I don't see any reason for having empty lvls inbetween skills. Heck they could just give us the new skills and traits from the MSQ, and not have lvls at all, the ilvl of the gear is what really counts anyways, the stats you get from lvl ups are puny.
I see what you mean. However, I do like the abilities being bound by level. Gives me something to be excited about when leveling.
Only thing with that was WoW did that with Cataclysm and a lot of people disliked having a full expansion feeling like it was half the experience, it also caused Mists of Pandaria to basically have a ton of unused content since you hit 90 about 70% through the content.
More open world content at end game. Give people people an incentive to get out in the world and work together, make it feel like a living breathing world once you finish the MSQ.
Ninja clone jutsu! Have some ideas for it
1.a clone jutsu which can be an aoe attack that has clones up to 7 clones do single target damage to their 7 different targets for 10 seconds. If there are less than seven targets, clones will start stacking on enemies to do more damage. i.e 1 target = 7 clones attacking it. Potency on each clone should thus be 90.
1.b or it is a stationary jutsu-don't move- and the clones appear around you to copy your mudra and execute ninjutsu causing an aoe version of your ninjutsu .(can not be used with tenchijin.)
Examples:
- raiton: It'll look like those Aoe raitons from the Job quest
-suiton: New aoe animation for the jutsu.
- doton: slightly larger and placeable like SMN lvl 50 skill
-katon: more intense fire explosion. + burning debuff.
-Hyoton: binds all enemies in a large circle of ice. + frost debuff
-Huton: doubles the huton length from 70 to 140 seconds
- fuma: All clones throw the fuma shuriken for double potency aoe line

I wish next expension they would delete all casu account to stop the pf madness of people only coming to get PL.

I read an interview with Yoshi where he said that ideally there would be three more expansions. If we got 10 levels per expansion, that would leave us at level 100.

So they already know that in 8 years the game will come to an end? Great. Surely they already have enough money to not have to make the game live as much as they can.

*facepalm*
Could you link it, i am interested...
Because of the way MMORPG are going (just watch the number of expansion for games like DAOC, or everquest...) it means The Square Enix Leaders are thinking already for the "after FFXIV" ...
I dont see why a developper would decide to stop a game from a genre made to stop when comunity is naturally fading... Or maybe he knows the way he does the game is not so good? ...
This is the interview https://www.kotaku.com.au/2017/06/fi...ch-more-to-do/
The quote is
Of course that doesn’t mean the game will end only that Yoshida need at least two more expansions to finish his main story of FFXIV.When I asked what else Yoshida had left to accomplish, he pointed to the story, a highlight of Final Fantasy 14. The intricate, ongoing plot is the main reason the fourteenth Final Fantasy is so appealing to those of us who don't love MMOs, and it's one thing that Yoshida wants to complete before he ever thinks about retiring. "There's this overarching story, and I've actually set a goal or endpoint for that arc," said Yoshida. "That's one of the things I want to accomplish is to be able to finish that narrative."
"How long will that be?" I asked.
"I think we'd need at least another two more expansions," Yoshida said.
