Thread: In Regard to Housing in Patch 4.1

Well if SE unchained gardening from housing plots and allowed something like instanced greenhouse plots that varied in size, and amount of planting beds based on how much gil was spent im pretty sure a lot of gardeners would gladly relenquish their houses once they get setup in their new gardening area. To be clear i don't want a housing plot im basically happy with the apartment (I still wish it was bigger or had 2 rooms). But if I just had reasonable access to say 3-6 gardening plots that were mine and mine alone along with the apartment I would be a very happy camper.

This. I would even be okay with Free companies with 8+ members using my plots they could touch the music, decorate do w/e they want as long as my garden is left alone. I'll even be grateful if in return square said your plants will always be watered if a active free company is using your plots.

The apartments should allow for like another room at least because if you think about it it could solve some issues with the housing as it is right there but still we should be allowed to grant permissions to friends or even an FC since a lot of FCs don't have housing right now because of how things are set up currently.

Just make all apartments have the same interior as the houses . you can buy a s/m/l or buy a small and down the road upgrade to med or large. small has 2 floors like normal med the normal 3 floors and large the 3 massive floors add a balcony that looks out into genric scenery depending on where u pick to live ,mist ocean lav beds trees n so on... give balconys items limits like yards...make all apartments zone in from maijor citys to not just zones and offer transfer for apartments so they can change there balcony scenery..

As for gardens n workshops... take the sobs out of houses period / or add to all along with...
Put gardening and workshops in your GC squad door...the higher rank you are the more garden plots you have access to and the more airships..as well as housing glam schimatics.. no need to have these locked to houses or FC the airships bring back crafting material people not in fc can use..if airships only brought back items say such as rare buff making materil i can see it but time to unlock these two from houses

There are 3 GC ranks now 1-Private/ 2-Sergeant /3- Lieutenant
Garden plots/air ships
Rank 1 20 plots 1 ship
Rank 2 40 plots 2 ships
Rank 3 60 plots 4 ships

This is why its such an obvious problem. Players have suggested MANY different solutions, all of which would be much more satisfying than the current system. If players were posting ideas only to have them immediately shot down by many others or holes easily poked that usually means the problem isn't a very urgent one or a proper solution is very hard to come by. Also I saw someone suggesting that different wards should be added for people buying FC houses, reloacing plots and personal housing, this could work too.

So if you have multiple alts you have no life? I fail to see the correlation. Multiple alts doesn't automatically mean that time is dumped into them. I have 1 alt, does that mean I don't have a life, even though I work 60 hours a week and help farm? I play in a band every weekend, but I have alts, so i don't have a life? I am a father of 10 year old girl, but no life cause I have an alt? Sounds like you're just another person who is salty because they don't have a house in game.

There is one extremely simple solution to the entire Housing Seller Market. That being a Cooldown period after any plot has been relinquished or demolished, in which it cannot be purchased by anyone. Make that 48 hours, and everybody can see that timer on the plot, and ask yourselves: What do House Buyers pay the Sellers for? Would you pay that exorbitant amount of gil, up in the several hundred millions, to have a chance, to be one of hundreds that get a shot of buying it? Likely not being the luckiest among them? I cannot imagine anyone would waste their hard earned ingame fortune like that. Sellers would not be able to actually sell their houses, completely shutting down this ingame black market.
There will likely still not be enough space for everyone, and this doesn't accomodate for houses already owned by sellers that they might hold on to, but it would put a stop to the market.

This has been suggested and would throw a wrench into peoples plans if they wanted to switch a personal to fc house or vice versa.

I dont think it is fair to punish those people in small FCs. I av an FC with 4-5 people (i also do not own a private house) and i want to keep it small. I av poor social skills irl / ingame and it takes a lot for me to make friends.

Still i work very hard, crafting, gathering and i think i av the right to own an fc house n av an airship.

I have no issue with restricting the number of houses per account. I also think there is a massive need 2 stop the race to buy a house when its released. I am a ps4 user n by default my loading times are beyond inferior 2 that of those with ssd's so punishing people because of their personal setups has always annoyed me.

I would vote 4 instanced housing, refunds on relinquishing, more med/large plots and for earning housing currency like mgp as long as its fair

To me housing is a priority, i love decorating the interior and exterior and i do not think that the size of the fc should impact my choice of house if i worked hard to pay for it.
