    SE certainly can police it if they want to. the line should be drawn at 4 characters, the minimum to form a FC and operate the workshop. and people keep asking for FC workshop restrictions to be removed/lowered. it should actually be increased (only FC members, only characters of X jobs above Y Levels).

    So what if you invite 4 alts? Now you have worked around the line.

    exactly, and for the people who are willing to go that far, it is what it is. just because you can't stop everyone doesn't mean you should take no steps to minimize it.

    and my FC craft recipes would actually be difficult, like the highest tier would require 4 specialists with certain minimum stats.

    Actually no, there's a more common way. There can be 1 member to the FC, after ranking it. That member can put in PF that they are looking for 3 others to help them advance in the workshop. Most people can't afford that many subs. So they do it this way. I still say it's too much of a loop hole. That a restriction should be applied, so that FC's can work as intended and close up this loop hole in housing.

    Personaly i think the workshop should be GC related not FC related... I can say ive helped dozens of fc advance workshops and not 1 of them was a "single player" FC. Heck ive even helped 2 of the biggest fc's on my server who put out calls for help. The only things that are even Fc related are the buffs lol not sure why housing glams are locked to fc (well use o be now ever retainer gets them in quick ventures it seems). Airships are the worst 90% of the items they bring back are for all crafters or players (materia) .

    Just move the work shop to the GC squad door when you reach rank 3 you get you own to run

    This seems like a bad idea, my FC has a lot of people in it and many of them are crafters. Even so we only have a handful of people with high level stats and those people aren’t online at the same time very often.

    On top of that this suggestion is counter intuitive to one of the original points of FC crafting. It’s a group effort where everyone can bond working towards the same end goal. If we add this requirement it would lock out some of the newer budding crafters for no real reason. There are many loopholes to company crafting that adding these restrictions will do nothing but make things harder on FCs with new players.

    Btw you can make any airship piece or housing wall in your FC and sell it on the MB. Which is another way to get around your suggestions.

    that is the point. it's supposed to be hard. if your FC wants those items, they will coordinate a time to get it made. it would also motivate more people to get high level stats on their crafting gear. another thing is, this would give something else for the FC funds to be spent on. idk how your FC handles it but when your airships go out and bring stuff back, what do you do with that? give them out? sell it? some combination of both? what do you do with the gil? well now one other thing you can do is reinvest it into your FC crafters so they can have the high stats to make more items for your FC.

    It doesn't do that at all now, so it doesn't matter. And they can still work on the lower level recipes anyway just not the highest ones.

    There's nothing wrong with this. All this means is the final product would cost more because the supply would be lower. People should be rewarded for leveling their crafts and being able to coordinate a group crafting session.

    I don't think making FC workshop onry going to help much honestly seeing as its a dying feature atm from what i seen.

    I agree that they need to upgrade the workshops more often. The only thing I've seen added recently is house walls and a mat that can be obtained through gardening. I find it fun to get together with others in the FC and work as team of crafters/gatherers, but now the fun is being zapped from it. On my server there were so many house walls on the market board when Shirogane went live that hardly any sold, but the latest and greatest walls off the schematic table, that they were going for dirt cheap afterwards.
