[Request/Feedback] Allow crafters to retrieve materia for others

Thread name says it all. I am so so psyched that we can now recycle materia at a possible failure rate. I don't want to come across as ungrateful so upfront; THANK YOU SO MUCH!

My concern/reason for request is I have become increasingly disappointed with my communal service viability as a crafter. Maybe that sounds greedy, but I really like being able to do stuff for people beyond item creation. With the glamour system nerf, I'm all but useless to anyone who is not a hardcore "try for world first" raider, and I dont really hang with that crowd. Overmelding is all I have left, after the Melder npc introduction.

So please allow my friends to request me to retrieve materia for them, thank you!

Pretty sure any level 19 DoW/DoM can complete the quest required to retrieve materia. It's the same quest that gives you the ability to convert spiritbound gear if I'm not mistaken.

I must have missed that note about retrieval, now I feel a fool. I assumed it worked the same way as regular melding, having to be the level of the gear to do it. Guess I was wrong hah... [embarrassed]

That was my original assumption as well when I heard we would be able to remove materia. It's a pretty reasonable assumption that retrieving materia must have at least the same requirements as melding it. So now to meld something you have to visit an NPC OR be a crafter with a high enough level, but to "unmeld" something you simply need to be able to create materia... :thinking:

Maybe because it also replace the NPC service of removing materia, which got unlocked with the materia/spiritbind questline.
