    Last time new wards open, I had multiple lobby errors and was over 3k in queue (didn't get anything)
    This time, I had no lobby errors and was able to get in.

    Everyone is subject to the same process, even if its random. Last time I lived closer to the servers, so it wasn't ping that gave me an edge (Since I didn't get in even being closer and having a good computer). People that got in this time/last time aren't going to get into the front of the queue EVERY TIME.

    Also, I am very vehemently against adding anymore restrictions to housing. SE needs to fix the problem not offer tiny bandages over a gaping wound.
