    So what exactly does "optimal skill rating for desynthesis" mean?

    I am 6 levels above the "optimal" skill and still only getting a 85% success rate. Shouldn't optimal mean where you achieve 100% success rate?

    Assuming it means that's the desynth level where you see the largest gains in desynth level per successful desynth.
