Boring. the fights are too slow.
And since it's slow, they had to make a lot of one-shot situations (or else it would be impossible to lose)
or they thought lot of one-shot would be fun, and then had to slow down the fight to compensate. Same result.

So when doing it for the first time, it's frustrating and ridiculous because we die all the time, but still win since it's slow and we have all the time to raise.
And after 2-3 runs, it's just slow.

    At least it looks good.

it was ok. i was hoping for a bit more though it was late and i skipped a chunk of the story. on top i went smn and struggled with the changes.
I always wonder why it is so hard to focus on adds though. anyway we cleared it in about 70min with 2 wipes on the 1st boss, 1 on the 2nd, 1 on the third. I think there was a wipe on the last aswell.
It's not too hard if ppl pay attention but that was always the case for those 24m raids.
I guess cause I skipped some of the story i don't know what the 3rd boss was (don't remember it from FFT nore XII) and was a bit confused about the last boss being argath. at least they got his attitude of being a total yerk right (that confuse mechanic...) Though his face mechanic was weird for me. Even though it showed demon face and said turn, which means i actually face him, i still got the debuff.
Overall the arc seems promising (more than omega, though void ark and following raids were better than alexander aswell)

Loving the new 24 man. Really well designed. On a side note, I love the new 24 man daily raid roulette. Been enjoying doing the old raids and best part it is often DPS in need. Feels good.

I really enjoyed it. I don't mind mechanic heavy optional content. My one gripe is that the in-fight cues and tells for the final boss are incredibly obtuse. Maybe make the faces different colors, so you have a clearer visual trigger to train yourself with.

The prompt and timer is blue if he says the truth and red when he is lying. just going by the face is probably not the best choice. but i still couldn't do right all the time. On the other hand despite the weird mechanic on the last boss he seems like the easiest of them.

The first 2 bosses were great imo. Good damage, nice mechanics, nothing to hard to understand but still punishes you if you ignore it.
The 3rd boss just a piece of crap... Low damage, the mechanics are too simplistic, simple to evade with 3 poor adds. As a second healer, I just dps the full fight, it's boring.
The last boss has a good concept, decent mechanics, but the low dmg once again made it a boring fight... Not in all mechanics but some.

Also the raid felt like... a straight and boring corridor. There should be trash mobs, and optional paths for some extra loot, even if its vanity or musical loot. Maybe because I loved ivalice so much, I wanted to explore rabanastre properly. This felt like poor design.

So that's it, felt nice till the second boss, after that disappointment, delusion, despair.

The random movement mechanic, as implemented, is a terrible idea. At the very least, the cursor spin needs to be slowed down, or the debuff should only be inflicted by failing to execute a previous mechanic. I've already seen too many wipes or near-wipes (the latter causing an agonizing amount of recovery time) because of people attempting to make their way to a safe spot while restricted by something that negates their capacity to perform basic evasion through no fault of their own. It's absolutely ridiculous.

I appreciate the cinematic feel on the third boss, but in the event one of the parties fails to DPS down their designated add quickly enough and the mana charge reaches 100, the mercy wipe should come immediately and not require waiting through the entire animated tedium.

First and second bosses were spot-on. Clear punishments and added fight complexities for failing to meet DPS checks and execute mechanics properly. Especially fond of the lack of area markers for the falling control towers on the second boss; we need more casual content that trains situational awareness among players.

A building fell on me and squished me.
It was gloriously sad yet hilarious.

Summary: Fun! 10/10 will play again

My first proper raid (joined late HW) and I had fun just taking it all in. From what I see, I think this raid a play test for introducing new types of boss abilities and using existing one inventively. I just don't want to see the spinning hand of terror in future fights (like omega v5-v8 etc.).
Boss 1 was a solid first encounter, not too easy but too hard.
Boss 2 personally was the the hardest and required the most pulls to kill but once figured out, you can't unlearn it.
Boss 3 was steamrolled but certainly an interesting fight, figure-of-8 aoes? Check.
Boss 4 was mechanically difficult to understand based on the truth or lie game where you obey the marker above your head or don't.
Trash pulls? Killing chocobos makes me sad, very sad. And most of the ones that die are black... hmm...
Swimming was a nice change of pace, the water slide was... a water slide, just fun! Maybe next raid/dungeon tier, introduce ground mounts? Just a thought.

Dungeon was great, loot system sucks.
    Gear lockouts are counter-productive.
Incenitivises players to do 1 full run perweek, plus only enough to get a piece.
I did 1.25 runs tonight, saw 7 pieces of gear hit the floor.

Devs should remove lockout immediately, allow the gear to be farmed and obtained while still relevant.

This only helps players access advanced content while removing frustration.
If you think it will reduce the number of people doing the content, you are foolish.

Ex. I did one run without gear I wanted dropping. Next run the first boss I got an item and promptly left the duty. If there was not a lockout, I would have finished the run and maybe done one more tonight, and more this weekend.

Gear lockouts only limit the number of players doing content later into the week while ensuring gear that could have been used is relegated to glamour, GC seal fodder, and Retainers upgrades once the devs do finally remove the lockout*.
