Confirm button: please increase priority of object interactions

When pressing the confirm button, and not busy interacting with menus, could we please have it prioritize interaction with a targeted object?

In Squadron Halatali, every time I try to interact with a Chain Winch, instead of interacting with it, a hand cursor appears on my Orders bar. I need to close the Orders bar or pick up my mouse to right click the Chain Winch.

This problem is not new or restricted to squadron missions either, though the priority given to the Orders bar magnifies the issue.

In some cases, there are boss encounters that require prompt activation of objects, such as the use of the shield generator in Keeper of the Lake, yet there are cases where the Confirm button will give focus to some other UI element such as a chat window tab, rather than interacting with the object. In time-sensitive situations such as this, we should be able to interact with a targeted object with just one press of the Confirm button, instead of having to pick up a mouse, find the item on the screen, and right click it.

As to the extra trouble when the Orders bar is active, this might end up being another that, like the pet hotbar, a lot of people turn off and put the skills directly on their regular hotbars instead.

I play on PS4 with controller where picking up a mouse isn't even an option, since I don't have one. (And I don't have a desk to use one on, so there's no use in anyone pointing out that a mouse could be plugged into the PS4. I play from my couch, which is something I have no intention of changing.) Controller users are limited to the "Confirm" button, and have to explicitly select and then de-select the Orders bar before and after every time we want to use it. It works (usually), but it's cumbersome and therefore slow. Maybe it would speed up a bit once I'm more used to it, but I may end up just using up three slots on my crossbar instead (probably my WXHB, as I think I can make room there).

... But as you said, that doesn't address the whole problem, just the latest feature that exacerbates it.
