    New rotation?

    Has anyone figured out the rotation for the new HQ crafting/gatherer gear? Been struggling so far.

    unbuffed, I'm at 457 cp, 1349 crafting and 1251 control. been struggling with cp. I'm kind of sick of wasting ingredients >_<

    granted I'm close to penta melded, but NOT quite there.

    Waste more cunning materia rather than ingredients. I personally can't stress how important CP is right now. Aim for 472

    Okay, 472 base? Thanks, it's good to have a number to work towards. I'll probably just make another set and re-penta meld it. Now that I doubled checked, I used Vs instead of VIs. derrrrp -_-

    64 flawless synthesis. JFC.

    Got lucky on a 60% chance for HQ chest. Basically makers with two pbp will get you within one or two CSIIIs, or a focused synthesis and CSII.

    I wonder if they realize that an 80% increase in both progress and quality requirements is invariably making a PbP augmented MaMa rotation the only viable option.

    2 PbP's = 44.4% progress, and MaMa being difficulty/100*40*0.9 = another 36% progress, bringing the synth up to 80% completion for 20 durability and likely fully recovered CP... but frankly that is the only viable option. Say fully melded CS3 gives you 450 progress (likely less), that same 80% would require 12 CS3's, that is 120 durability and 84 CP, drastically less efficient than a 70 step PbP-MaMa opener.

    But as I see it, that right there is the problem! You have one option which costs 20 dur and I want to say offhand some 60 CP, or another that costs 120 dur and 84 CP.

    Another approach would be Name-Brand, which say 100% progress efficiency is 300 progress and the recipe is 6400 for ease of math.
    Hit 1 = 900
    Hit 2 = 816
    Hit 3 = 739
    Hit 4 = 670
    And now either Name or SH falls off, so you get a total of ... 48.8% so about 50% progress for ~61 CP and 40 dur, with diminishing returns if you used Muscle Memory to start for instance.

    So... yeah, without so much as looking at the massive quality requirements (some have suggested using Byregot's Miracle from specialist), there is only 1 good option for dealing with the sheer jump in difficulty of these new recipes.

    So much for Anti-Homogenization.

    Sorry for the noob question, but what does MaMa rotation refer to? is that the flawless synth stuff from ironworks?

    I still have no idea where to even start for these new items. wasted a ton of money on re-melding (pentamelding can die in a fire) and now my base cp is at 464 unbuffed.

    for progress I've been relying on muscle memory, 2 pbp's and 2 rapid synth II's (which usually just fail anyway, because this game thinks 90%=60%) but when it does succeed, I can finish the item with a csII.
    on to quality... I don't even... just. Yup. Kind of overwhelmed. I can barely get past 5% quality. How the heck do we get 28k quality without breaking the item... x_x

    This has been super frustrating so far.

    Makers Mark. And to get top quality you probably need almost all HQ mats going in until you're better geared. With HQ twinthread, Twinsilk, and true griffin leather, I started at about 5-6% and ended around 60 (though my rotation clearly needs work as I ended with about 25 durability remaining).

    Start out with Makers Mark, Comfort Zone, steady hand I, piece by piece x2, then the really fun part!

    Already tried looking at that, but really I wouldn't consider it as much of an option, at least with how large the progress and quality pools are. Mainly because looking at the entirety of the rotation your aim would be to build 11 IQ stacks as quick as possible so you can use Miracle asap, then move in and go for a Byregot's Brow after you've built up what you can. So if you fail the initial Patient Touch, or don't get a Precise by some miracle then you've pretty much crippled rotation, unless you do it on the fly so to speak. (edit) Saying that it seems most rotations I've seen or tried seem to follow the build 11 stacks immediately, as at the '12th' stack you get around 1300 quality per touch lol
