I managed to beat all 3 of the dungeons as Machinist, but I can't seem to beat it Pharos Sirius again. I get stuck at Zu with my Bard. Those birds just keep killing me. As far as the elevator in Copperbell Mines HM, just walk inside the elevator, wait until all of the NPCs are right next to it, then pull the lever. Walk a few feet away from elevator once down and your squad will reappear. No issues there except it looks weird. This is the only dungeon I'm spamming until I'm done leveling all my lower roles since its the easiest. Too bad Ouranos didn't get a Triple Triad card. He looks cool. I'm also close to 100 command missions finally. I'll have that done soon.

I do love playing with the squads. I wish we could get 4 more members though, so I can have all roles represented while sending a few on their mission.

They also seem to fix the AI. They now attack only who you tell them to attack. King Tonberry is no longer an issue. The beginning is still problematic, though. They still go back to kill humans at the beginning.

Tried Copperbell HM, and it's completely impossible! Got to the first boss, and it's a pain in the arse to even get the squad to follow me into the area. Then, as if that wasn't bad enough, the healer chooses to stand in the fire once it spawns! I tried pulling everything to the end of the area, but the healer is still i the fucking DOT, and I'm practically dead at that point. And of course, for some stupid reason, they force a wipe whenever the player dies, instead of programming the healer to use raise. On top of that, the AI is stuck with base classes, and so are missing a lot of useful abilities.
Given the fact that they're adding The Vault in 4.4, at this point I think they're intentionally fucking with us - since that one's bad enough with people.

They probably are messing with us at this point. Like how they said the AI would be less dumb as you use them over time. They're still just as stupid at mastery levels 4/5 as they were at 1, all those do is up their stats.

I still haven't completed Copperbell HM because the squadron is too dumb to handle basic mechanics. I gave up on it. The Vault is going to be worse than DF bads unless you go on healer. The squadron healer can't even heal properly in Halatali, and now they're throwing them into one of the biggest healer checks in the game. That's a recipe for disaster.

As far as Copperbell Hard Mode goes for squadron missions goes, here are my tips:

    1. Spam the hell out of engage any add that appears until they die. Taking out adds is the main key to winning all 3 fights, especially the last 2 fights.
    2. For the second and third fights, handling the pick up and place mechanic is completely on the player. Spam the engage button to have the squadron kill adds while you handle the "pick up object" mechanic.
    3. If you have a stun, stun Impact Roar on the last boss.

A lot of micro-managing is necessary with them plus there are a couple maps where you have to really be careful not to outpace them. This was one of the reasons why I more of less abandoned my squad once I laboured to 60 with all eight of them.

Gave them all a hefty stipend and haven't checked in on them for several weeks now.

I like Squadrons its a neat concept the game might have to rely on in a very late stage of ff14 life

Similar to the trust system in ff11
