Gold Chocobo Feathers

Many people that I know have long since capped on refer-a-freinds and wasted their gold feathers on dyes and the sort due to lack of mounts to buy. With the recent addition of the Managarm Horn for 8 gold feathers, an item which is no longer obtainable for these accounts, could we perhaps receive another method of obtaining these feathers?

My main suggestion would be Achievement Certificates since many, if not all of the people I'm referencing would have been subscribed long enough to already own the items available for exchange with this currency.

Otherwise I don't see this item as being even an option to many.

Yeah, it's a really frustrating situation to be in. We've brought a ton of people in - I've actually farmed out referrals to other friends once I capped, and NOW you release a mount that can only be bought with a finite, unrefreshable currency that I've spent on dye pots that I haven't even used.

I wouldn't mind another welcome back campaign or resetting our recruit of friend for another round.

I too, spent mine and can no longer afford to buy this mount.

That "cap" people mention is it the one where you don't get any more feathers after you recruited 5 friends?

Yep, after you refer 5 people, you can no longer refer any more. Also the subsequent rewards for them subscribing 150, 210, and 270 days only rewards the referrer for the first friend to do so. The only other method to obtain the feathers is to have someone on your friends list in-game that hasn't subscribed in 90 days and for you to use the callback campaign for 5 feathers each person.

I'm hoping this thread can reach at least one dev so they can look into an alternative method. Otherwise you're ostracizing a good portion of the long-time subscribers for no reason. Tag this along with the alteration of veteran rewards and it doesn't look too good. But I'm mixed on that one tbh.

Man, that's weak. I used all of my feathers to buy the Chocobos and Twintania, which left me with only two that I spent seeing as there was nothing else I wanted. I've since tried to recruit more people, but none have even gotten to 150 days, and I haven't seen any Gold Feathers since last year. I guess I'm never going to wind up getting this Managarm since my ability to rests solely in other people registering to the game for almost half a year.

The callback campaign ended January 4th.

And now I can't even use the backup method. What a waste.
