In the new Shinryu Extreme fight there is a target called "The Worm's Heart". Unless the mighty Wyrm God has the heart of a lowly worm, I think this is a mistake...

Definitely, in the other languages this is Shinryu's / The Wyrm's Heart.
Yeah the craftable housing item Shinryu's Wing under Alchemist V recipe has description as "legendary worm's wing" as well, when it should be "wyrm".
The music rolls too are named the worm's heart and the worm's tail they should be address too
While correct, "wyrm" would never refer to a lowly earth worm and more readily connote a dragon or serpent. On the other hand "worm" is more readily associated with slimy invertebrates in your garden.
Hello again, Eorzeans.
We appreciate your continued feedback on the subject of unlocking the variances in appearance of the Hempen set across all races.
It looks like an overwhelming majority of you are very interested in this! As such, we have forwarded this feedback to the development team. In response, they would like to let you know that they are considering this for a future update!
This really doesn't look right to me, and I think it should be changed to wyrm or even wurm, but I'm open to the possibility that it's an intentional archaic spelling.
An official response from Fernehalwes would be great! But i guess it's because Worm is an old way of meaning Wingless dragons, while using Wyrm is fairly new, even if the root of Wyrm is older.
The two words are interchangeable, most people just prefer the "Y" spelling because they correlate the "O" to earthworms.

Funnily enough I didn't bat an eye to this due to another game that uses Worm when talking about some very powerful beings that have yet to be seen, which with some other info in the game highly suggests they actually are dragons.
