All I see from these “positivity posts” is bragging to those that were denied a feature.

Because that's what it is. If positivity were really the goal, the thread would be highlighting the fact that many plots have opened up in the other areas and that all the commotion on the forums will likely spur some action from Square in the near future. This is an excuse to share excitement that came at a cost to the same people they're sharing it with.
This isn't positive, it's pointing the finger at everyone who had problems logging in, problems with the launcher, a huge cue or similar problem and going "Haha, i got a house in all this madness, you didn't".
It's bragging, nothing more.
I actually had problems getting on. I tried right at 3am, but when I tried to get on to the data center I got an error. I then had to relaunch the game. Once I logged back in and got connected to the data center successfully, I found myself stuck in a queue of 323 people trying to get on.
When I finally got on, I found myself right where I’d logged off: in front of the lot I’d hoped to buy. Unfortunately it was already taken. I sprinted back to the ferry NPC and quickly browsed the ward lists to see what was available for the lot I wanted. I found it was currently available in most. I thought of trying a low number first, but then noticed that others seemed to be having the same idea, as those seemed to be going faster than the lower numbers. Taking a risk, I went to ward 2 and got the lot I wanted.
By the time I logged off about 20 minutes later, a cursory look at the list suggested all the houses in all lots were sold.
But I was able to get the lot I wanted, even with a login error and login queue.
Sorry for the triple post, but I’m on mobile and can’t edit.
The worst part about this thread is that such a "subtle" and "civil" troll can ruffle just as much feathers as a blatant one but hardly ever gets in any trouble.
There was nothing positive about this patch. There is nothing positive about housing. Just because you were one of the lucky few who managed to even log in doesn't mean you should make thinly veiled bragging posts on the forums. Get a life honestly.
i got to the exactly plot I wanted and bought it. No complicated story there.
My boyfriend exhausted himself staying up all night on a work night, planning and mapping out routes and suffering horrible anxiety the whole time, and barely managed to get something while hundreds of others weren't able to.
It's awesome we actually managed to get one, but what kind of horrible system in what is supposed to be a fun video game encourages this type of thing?
