Positivity about housing!

My fc moved to a plot right beside the new pools in The Goblet and we all love it. We were going to move to Shirogane but when we saw The Goblet in the live letter we changed our minds. Not much can beat having a pool and cocktail bar right outside your house

And before anyone gets salty about me showing off or whatever, even if the housing system is bad it doesn't mean we can't celebrate what is good. Also I'm pretty active in threads that criticise the system. So it's not like I was suddenly okay with it when I got access to housing.

Unfortunately the number of contented ones is equivalent to the number of plots available. We were planning to relocate the FC, both my partner and myself paid 40$ for a cab out of the city and back to our home during peak hour because we heard there were issues with the patch, 15$ on food delivery since we didn't have time to even take away, had 2 PCS set up and was ready to camp for houses, only to be booted out and by the time we got back all plots were gone within 2 mins. I'm perfectly fine with some competition, but to be at the mercy of technical instability, poor planning and plenty of luck this entire experience hasn't been good.

We were very prepared, memorised all the plot numbers and the closest aether (every single one) have good fiber w/ 450-500mb/s with 0-10 ping from the server and had two pcs on GTX1080Ti, logged in without even missing a second and got booted out due to congestion. After all the preparations, not even a shot at it because we got kicked out twice.


While I'm glad you got what you wanted, this thread might be counter productive. I can really accept it if improvements have been made over the years and if there was enough preparations for this, but in all honesty in all of the wards release, what really changed?

I mean, our FC just planned a route and agreed that if we dont get our transfer to Shirogane then thats just the luck of the draw. Fortunately we were lucky. I get why people are pissed off, i really do but even with the limitation of available houses, it was still FAIR. Servers come on at this time, first come first serve and will cost this much gil etc.

Everyone had equal chance as a community. Individual circumstances cant be taken into account when releasing content for a player base this large on a game this popular.

ended up reading about TC being in positive mood because he gets a housing.

People talk like this community is so great and the replies here are entirely why I am jaded.

"Don't brag, you got a house at the expense of everyone else, I can't believe you. Why don't you feel guilty about this?"

People seem to think the entire world revolves around them. Not everyone who got a house cares about what other people think or more importantly whether or not others did. Just because it's exclusive doesn't mean that people who were lucky enough to receive houses and are happy about it are only bragging.

Square Enix plays this community like fools and you guys are figuratively ripping and tearing at each other for their mistakes and negligence, just because you didn't get something that another person has.

I'm not saying this is a great thread and all that, but the people who bought houses and got lucky shouldn't have to be bleeding hearts for the rest of the community.

I got lucky and found a vacated plot in the Goblet, this is after being beaten out to vacated plots in Mist and Lavender Beds, and logging in 20 minutes after because of a fucking lobby server error when I logged in the first time to find all the Shirogane plots completely gone. Even as a winner I've found this to be one of the dumbest, most frustrating MMO experiences I've ever had the pleasure of engaging in.

Exactly. I'm just saying there is no point in getting angry at people for being fortunate or being happy about it, even if they're "bragging." Square Enix is 100% at fault for all of the stress and anxiety regarding housing. I'm just saying that it reflects poorly on one's character to seriously take out their frustration on another person for a terrible situation they happened to strive in despite them having zero control over it.
