Positivity about housing!

I was tempted to give up after seeing an immediate 450 person queue, but decided to wait it out (I did stay up until 3AM I might as well try). Like 5 minutes later I got in to the game and /busy ed asap. I clicked the ship guy saw like half the plots already gone. Didn't hesitate though, clicked into ward 8. Had cursor floating over mount.

I zoned in mounted and bolted towards a plot another player was unmounted and used sprint. I barely overtook him and clicked the plot first. It turned out to be the last available in the ward.

I got raged out in say chat because my status was busy, so they couldn't whisper. Cursed out and told to commit suicide. All I did was reply "yaaawwwnn, it's getting late buddy goodnight, better luck next time"

Should reported him. Not OK telling people to commit suicide over a f*** house.

Don't see anything can be really positive about new housing. New area housing sold out in less than 2 minutes. Didn't see them add private housing swimming pools. Only thing do like is now can swim in all areas where there is water. Been saving my money since before 4.0 came out to buy house in new area. Even my fc saved up money to buy a mansion and never got a chance.

Well, they announced more housing will come in 4.2 now. That aside.... what did people expect when 4.1 launched? All of this was very much foreseeable by the playerbase.

It boggles my mind why the OP thought this thread was a good idea, with zero thought going into how the majority of people would react.

Expecting people to react positively to a post on such a topic considering the circumstances of you getting your house is either you being hopelessly naive or being expertly dickish.

Having a bit of awareness of your audience is key here, since it's the equivalent of walking into a room of homeless people and screaming "MAN, I SURE AM GLAD I HAVE A ROOF OVER MY HEAD IN THIS HOUSING CRISIS!"

Our fc managed to get a large house - but we were on a low pop server, so didn't have the nightmare that others apparently did.
Now, my sincere hopes that the actions being taken by the development team can resolve the housing shortage.

I don't really see a problem with instanced housing. Wandering round our Shirogane mist ward yesterday evening, there where only a couple of other players around their respective houses. Having different instances isn't really going to change this.

The way it was handled was wrong, made worse by the fact the most people could see this coming a mile off.

Hopefully the many reactions they have had will make them realise that this has got to significantly change.
