OP, this is not a positive posting. There was nothing positive about the situation, even though I was able to move my small home in the Lavender Beds to a small home on Shirogane. The whole thing stunk to the high heavens and needes to be addressed by Square....but yeah GOOD FOR YOU, you got lucky.... /sarcasm

My FC really wanted to upgrade to a medium house ANYWHERE due to our membership increasing, but couldn't find one. And we arent even a huge server...

Got up nice and early yesterday to get into the game, but got hit by the version error check bug. By the time I managed to find the fix on Reddit and install the patch, it was 11:08 and I was placed 1500ish in the queue.

BUT. I still persisted and managed to snag myself a nice little cottage in the ward 2 subdivision. It's not the plot I wanted, but it's a good spot and I'm happy with it. I can't help but wonder if most people moaning are from overpopulated servers like Balmung, who still refuse to move to less populated worlds. If it's instanced housing you want, there's hundreds of free apartment spots on Odin!

I logged in hoping for a large or at least medium Shirogane plot. I had barely enough luck to grab a small plot in Lavender Beds. This had the happy benefit of allowing me to easily outfit the house and finish off my remaining 2 crafts to 70. Silver lining...I guess?

I snagged a small Goblet plot about three months ago that got demolished in the dead of the morning, so I hardly had any competition for it (Someone who already had a house shouted about it in Limsa). It also has a marketboard and summoning bell right in front of it, so that's a plus, too.

Some of you people are ridiculous, white knighting this foolishness some people had to wait years for.....yes be happy you got a house but keep it to yourself some people really got screwd by something they had no control over.

If people are mad about this post they have every absolute right...Noone wants to hear all that bragging trying to make themselves and SE feel good about something they royalty absurdly screwed up

At this point SE could really use a reset button on this fiasco that they alone have created because there was no equal opportunity there was the server may or may not work, probability bs....But this patch will hurt them where it hurts I've seen many ppl quit the game over this already

Honestly, no. That's not how society works. If I got laid off one day and that same day a friend got a promotion and told me about it I'd suck it up and go celebrate with them, because that's the right thing to do. Everyone directing their anger, frustration and childish tantrums towards people who were able to get a house is not only foolish, but also highly immature and lacking of any sense of humility or self restraint.

Yes, people can be excited and talk about the houses they got, they have every right. Yes, those who didn't get one have every right to be upset that they weren't able to, but not at each other.

However, what is going on, has been going on, and quite frankly needs to stop here, in game and on Reddit is the habit of directing that anger and frustration towards other players. It is wholly unfair and simply childish, and the most I want to say to those who think they are permitted to act that way towards others is to grow up—We know whose fault this really is, and it most certainly isn't the people playing the game with you.
