DO you realy need as single person a house?

I bought one that opened up in The Goblet on day one of 4.1. Friend and I hang out in it. I spend a lot of time there actually. Do I need it? No. Did I want it? Yes. That's all that really has to be said.

I don't need my personal house. I don't need my fc house. I don't need to pay my sub and keep playing this game. I do and have these things because I want to, and in the case of housing I like having a personal hub where I can craft without being bothered among other things.

I like having personal access to the frequently price-gouged gardening exclusive items, so yes, I do need a house.

The gathering bots on my server, on the other hand, do not need houses, and only serve to make it more frustrating that I can't seem to get them banned no matter how many times I report them.

I think personal housing is fine but--

I honestly think that Large houses should be reserved for FC houses only. They just feel... too big for a singular person to own themselves. Just my 2c.

why you use it?

I wanted a plot for myself and three of my friends. So four people in total share one house.

To be specific, no I do not need it. But it is nice to have a personal space for myself and my friends.

Yes, very often. I spend most my playtime there.
- Waiting for queue.
- Crafting.
- Hitting dummy.
- Gardening.
- Redecorate the place when new furniture comes out.

why you dont make space for FC's?

You are right about that. Most people buy houses only to leave them empty. The place feels like a ghost town.
My old plot was near a MB yet I hardly ever saw people there. It was just me and my friends that I share my house with.

Honestly I wouldn't have a house if apartments were both bigger and had the option to share them with your friends. Though mostly the second one. I like decorating places with other people.

OP:the problem isn't the players. It's the fact there isn't enough housing for everyone who wants it. Don't blame players for enjoying part of the game.

an FC without a house is lamentable.. but it isn't the fault of the player who bought a house that you don't have one.

Yes, I do. I love Eorzea and I love knowing that my character has a home there, a place of her own that I could decorate to fit her personality. I love relaxing in that house, knowing it's my place, and I enjoy decorating it with different seasonal items to celebrate each holiday with my friends.

Putting it in more simple words, I love living in Eorzea. I don't simply log in to do dungeons; I enjoy the social aspects of Eorzea to their fullest.
