DO you realy need as single person a house?

Because I like owning things. I own an individual medium house in lavender and an FC small in shirogane. They're nice to relax in, fun to decorate and good for roleplay even though I don't do it much anymore.

Don't really /need/ one but no one, FCs included really need one, if you get one great, just gotta work at it

A privately-owned house may not simply be for one person. I know a lot of people who share estates with other tenants -- doubly so now that a lot of people couldn't get their dream house in Shirogane.

I'd be cool with FCs getting to throw their weight around on houses if it meant everyone in the FC had to relinquish their personal houses first and there were member count requirements on each plot size. As pathetically salty as this collective > individual argument is, if you're willing to actually consolidate your housing eligibility into a single entity then sure, fill your boots. 50 people sharing a single plot and only a single plot would do wonders for the housing market. Let the FC leader give plot purchasing rights to whoever they want in the FC and give them all the ability to purchase a plot with funds in the guild chest. Your FC members can all spread out and try to get different plots, effectively giving you exactly as much opportunity as you have people to throw at it, and only using up one plot in the process.

Don't get me wrong, the current system is short-sighted and needs to become instanced to actually scale effectively, but I'm tired of seeing these threads pop up trying to pretend they're entitled to a bigger shot because they're bigger. You didn't get a house and you're salty about it, we get it. How about instead of trying to figure out who deserves to be fucked over less, we look for a solution where everyone gets a house and attack the actual issue: housing's current implementation scales poorly. There are simply not enough physical resources to meet player demand because the neighborhood system uses far more resources than an instanced solution. I'm sure there are people out there that like seeing a stranger run by the local market board once every three hours, but it is not worth the clusterfuck that is housing in its current state.

Have a small in the goblet. Was looking to upgrade it to a large today but was met with disappointment by the lobby server having errors while trying to login. I put this in a post last night but will say it again. Yes, I use my house ever single day that I'm on. Both me and my friend/RP partner. We both enjoy decorating it, I like to garden when there new stuff to put in. When we aren't doing content, we are hanging out at the house, either inside or outside. For me though, I like having my own personal space. And the more space I have to work with, the more things I can do to make it fun for both me and my friend. Nothing against my FC, I love them! However, I like having my own music playing or just my own space to do whatever. I don't raid very much so really my end game is housing xD

Yes, actually, besides the fact that I love decorating, I also role-play and I am trying desperately to get a house for me and my character's ic husband to share.

What we really need to be talking about is how there is no homeowners' association when one is desperately needed. Some people have outrageously disastrous exteriors/yard and just can't be trusted to make their homes presentable. I don't care what goes on inside of your house but everyone has to see the outside.

PS. If my neighbor just so happens to read this (fat chance) please repaint your house from eye-searing blue. I maybe the only one speaking up about it but the whole neighborhood hates it.

THANK YOU! Right in front of my FC's house is a medium chocobo house and omg...it sticks out like a sore thumb in the Mists. It's so bad that our fc leader pointed our cannon at it in an attempt to scare them into changing it...or moving. So far...we still have the arse of a chocobo house pointed at our yard.

When I had a house before, I was surrounded by weird looking houses; there was the Moogle house across the way, the obnoxious Chocobo house right next door, and a Paissa house beyond that. I felt like it was time to move out since the neighborhood had really gone downhill. lol I understand that people think all that stuff is cute or cool (and the Moogle one isn't terrible), but most of it just looks like it doesn't belong, IMO.

I let my personal house auto demo (along with our FC house) about six weeks ago, since I thought I'd take a longer break from the game. Well...here I am, so I rolled the dice this morning and got a better plot in the Beds than the one I had before as my personal house, but I bought it for the FC--though at the moment, it's an FC of one anyway, since I'm the only one in the family who has time to play or wants to play. This new plot, incidentally, isn't surrounded by weird looking house walls! Just sayin'.

I use my house every day that I play. Other than decorating it, I craft there, and since I don't raid or do much else in the way of end-game content, housing and crafting is my end game.

i just logged in and saw 80% off all houses are from single persones. why you use it? do you rly need it? do you realy use it often? or you jsut buyd it to have it? i see mostly empty houses everwhere. idk why you guys buy a M or L house only to own it. you dont even use it often. you dont need to use it. you dont even go into it often. so why you dont make space for FC's? i mean. they want house for their company. fc craft etc. and you buy it bcs you was faster. well. Square should only FC master allow go own a house for their fc. apartmens for single player.

People just find a way around the system. Still they could add a few ward specifically designed to be purchased only by FCs.
