Hate to beat a dead horse with this issue: Lag spikes NA servers

This has been going on for a few months now and feel it is getting worse.

Around 9pm-10pm my time (central) the game literally just takes a dump and constant lag spikes to the point where I can't play the game at all. So trying to be reasonable I started watching my networking performance while it happens and shows to be "fine" but now the lag spikes are happening daily and at roughly the same times.

Finally after feeling alone on this issue I came across this reddit post:
    https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...the_na_server/

And after having a crappy EX primal run because of the lag spikes I really feel like the tech team NEEDS to look into this.

I've posted so much in these Technical forums the past month. I've even been in E-Mail contact with SE trying out many things with my settings that ultimately resulted in no difference. I've also been talking to my ISP and they sent me a new router to see if that would help, but nope. I'll add to my post count because this has put a real damper on my return to the game. I literally can't do any EX Primals or Savage content because of this. I actually don't care much about upcoming content because I know with this issue I can't be reliable in it. The lag is awful and especially so at peak times. The last E-Mail from SE was saying that maybe turn down my graphic settings...yeah, great customer service advice right there. The lag has nothing to do with graphic settings and I get the lag spikes when I'm doing silly things like Chocobo Racing too lol. It's ridiculous.

Someone posted a WinMTR app that actually helped me pinpoint the troublesome nodes on my route to the servers. I guess I'll post them here also. I've talked to my ISP about routing but they actually just referred me to try using a VPN and I just know that I do not need to use a VPN for this game. Since this issue only cropped up after patch 4.06a, before then, absolutely no issues at all!

Anyway this is the results from my route to servers. Ignore the second hop, it doesn't allow pinging for security reasons. But it's clear the issue is with the NY/Seattle nodes for me.

    Code:

I'm from the Chicago area and exactly as you stated around 9pm CST the servers rubberband hard and lag spikes are so constant that it makes playing damn near impossible, even worse are mudras with Ninja.

It's almost every day at the same time.

California servers were a mistake. SE chose poorly when selecting the new location for the data centers.

SE is a garbage company and customer support is laughable. This game had 90k errors and lag spikes before the server move , but now it's almost unplayable. I have a high end rig and one of the best ISPs. I have no issue with any other game. SE had ample time to address these issues, but has failed to do so. I regret the year I have already put into this game and will not be re-subbing, I don't care if they fix the problem or not.

They need to move servers out of California that was worst mistake ever. There is always fires there that can interrupt internet routes. They should have moved them to a state that's not known for fire or bad storms. Since these latest fires in California can't hardly play game more than 5 minutes before getting a 90002 error. When they was in Canada never had one disconnect problem. They need to move them back least could play then.
