Another Housing complaint thread with a BUT

Ignoring all the flaws with the login, world error etc let's talk about another big flaw in the housing system...


So i managed to login, and even to get in front of a Medium Plot that i wanted do purchase.
There was no one, so i was overwhelmed with joy.

I click on the placard and started viewing the possibile options.
Purchase land, relocate FC, relocate individual, etc.

It took me something like few seconds to be sure that i was buying the plot for me.
During these few seconds another person came by and took the land under my nose.


I mean...how hard it is to block such a thing?If another person is in the middle of buying just block all the people.

It was so frustrating, i was looking so much taking a house in shirogane, saving gil for months... i was just hyped for that.


And i know that a lot of people feel the same.



But hey, i bet the excuse will be: SERVERS!.

I imagine it's not implemented cause friends could intentionally block a plot until friend comes to buy it. Still, I can understand the frustration behind this. Housing shouldn't feel so stressful like you need lightning fast click reflexes and ping or other issues can still add to seconds to grabbing your dream place.

This would be an awful idea because then someone could stand at a placard indefinitely to hold it for someone else or just to be an ass and block others out of it.

The major issue with housing still remains: it's a 100% completely dumb-luck crapshoot. There are not enough houses to go around on even MODERATELY populated servers. And most insane of all, their launcher apparently can't even handle heavy load with people logging in when this isn't even remotely one of the highest population MMOs, where others work flawlessly, which is probably the most mindboggling thing to me.
