Trouble setting up payment, please help while I can still post :o

I have 2 character slots, would like to delete one, can't find how, currently looks like this:



There is no delete button. I'm afraid they'll use 300 crysta for the "empty character slot" and I won't have enough left to reactivate my actual character.

I've added 1000 Crysta to my account, which I think is what I can see under "Review Service Fees".



I can not find any information suggesting that this Crysta will automatically be used to pay for my character(s) (remember I only want one, and not the unused one!)

So I figured maybe the first image means both are about to be a cancelled, so all I have to do is reactivate the "Talice" one, so I try but it says:



No mention at all of the new period, just the old one, and it says 0 crysta, not 300 or 699 or 999, so I'm puzzled. I've worked with computers for 11 years and can't figure this out, hoping someone else can help me set it up.

see the "reactivate" button? click it if you want to "reactivate" a character for tomorrow and onward.

if you dont click it then it wont be reactivated and you wont be able to play it.

if you have 1000 crysta already in your account, and you clicked reactivate for only ONE character, then they will charge you 999 crysta tomorrow and you will have access to the ONE character and the game for exactly one month after tomorrow.

if you have clicked reactivate for MORE then one character, they will charge you an additional 300 crysta PER character per month beyond the FIRST character you have - so 999 crysta per month + 300 crytsa per month for EACH additional character (beyond the first one).

if you dont have the crysta already in your account to cover what you are trying to reactivate, they will charge your CC directly for any amount that you dont have crysta to cover and an additional 1 dollar fee will apply PER charge.

therefore make sure you buy the correct amount of crysta you plan on using BEFORE you reactivate anything if you wish to avoid any surcharges from them using your CC to directly pay for your account + characters.

yeah dude relax, just reactivate one char and you'll get charged for that one char ^^

i would guess its to make it harder for hackers.

as we all know what is harder for hackers is usually harder for customers too, however.

on a bragging note, i did not ever have any trouble figuring out what to do with SE's payment system for FFXI. =P

Thank you everyone! and first time I've seen someone ask for help and not get a single rude answer, maybe there is hope for this game!

I guess I was just confused by the "reactivation menu" not actually mentioning any costs or any other time periods than the ones already passed. Reactivated and it seems fine now, although I'm still curious how to permanently delete my unused character slot in case anyone knows.

SE will delete EMPTY character slots tomorrow if you do not "re-activate" them - as i said, anything that is NOT reactivated doesn't get charged for, and then will be "re-set" to being able to select it in the future if you want to activate it.

no, they wont delete your account or characters if they already exist, but they will remove any access you have to them.

Also you can put in continuous option. That will make things easier later. Like after the chosen payment you put will deduct automatically the amount of crysta in there. At least is what I will do. So after this expire will renew automatically again if you have put the amount of crysta beforehand when the time come.
