Prices of Housing should go back to Patch 2.1 rates

Hello, I know the subject line will probably be an unpopular opinion but I believe we are due for prices of plots to go back up to 2.1 rates. While increasing the pricing may seem counter-intuitive to some, we are long overdue for this change. With an increase in overall server population comes an increase of gil on those servers. Outside of the lack of housing supply to meet the demand, the barrier for entry is really low which increases competition since more people can afford it.

Plot 30/60 which is/was the most highly sought after plot in Shirogane had a cost of 45M gil and is a 3rd class plot. If we compared it to 2.1 rates, it would have cost 112.5M on my server Cactuar or 281.250M on Balmung.

By raising the barrier of entry into the housing market, it would serve as a "soft" check on demand while serving the function as an important gil sink for the overall economy.

Doing that now essentially punishes those who weren't fortunate to own a house prior. It also practically guarantees people will use RMTs.

as Bourne said: this would simply promote RMT.

The price change is a positive change. The issue is House Scalpers, Bad Launchers, servers that can't handle the log in influx (let's be honest, patch comes up, it's almost like a DDoS on the servers, and i almost promise it probably looked like one on Tuesday) and an underwhelming supply. on average. housing is 1-3% of most server populations. Given that Housing is a feature (it's touted, i got an email 12 hours after patch went down about New Housing) and the supply ot the feature is...so scarce.
