We need a statement from the developers

I don't agree in the slightest SE needs to release a statement regards housing. Its established this is the system we have, despite its many flaws, and people by now should be well aware of that. I would love to see it changed to instanced housing lots with a single community ward with activities in it, however I doubt we will ever see the system change after the resources invested in what we have.

Its optional content some people will have to live without unfortunately.

Definitely no one does a better job on Glamour. Black Desert does costumes... full-body, no customization. Most other MMOs do as well. Maybe the costumes look nice, but they're not your combination... your expression. They're something you bought from the cash shop with no ability to use it to uniquely express your character's personality. At best, other MMOs do *as well as* FFXIV... games like Rift have a nearly identical system where you pick individual pieces to show on your character, but even then, that's your character's outfit... you can't have multiple outfits saved for multiple different looks that you can swap between.

Glamour art and glamour systems are two different things. FFXIV has great glamour options. But the method of putting that on? WoW is years ahead. WoW doesn't make me hold on to old items indefinitely in case I might want to use them in a glamour someday. It simply logs that I had it at some point, and then I can choose it from the list of everything unlocked. Done.

YoshiP talks about inventory size issues all the time. Want to shrink player inventory? Don't make people use an entire retainer to hoard clothes for glamour.

Housing is in the same boat. The housing stuff itself is great. The artificial scarcity is a farce in a subscription game.

Apartment are not house. some wants house.

Why can't we have apartments that are the same size as small, medium, and large houses? Like a penthouse? Then increase the amount per housing area, make it so you can choose the size of your apartment based on how much you're welling to spend, and (best case scenario) keep houses for free companies only. Let the people who already have houses buy an apartment of the same size for free. Everything is solved.

I was up an hour and a half before the server went live and pre-patched and everything. Then right on the dot I tried to log in and had nothing but Launcher.exe lag, crashes, etc and when I did get into the game I was in queue for nearly 15 minutes. By the time I logged in every plot in every ward was already taken. My friend managed to get in a few minutes before me and had already informed me of the bad news because literally all the plots were gone in less than 10-15 minutes flat.

Personal housing was a mistake to begin with.



if you add such a feature you must have the ways to serve the demands. Then they put personal and FC housing in the same spot. This create even more disparity, cause with FC housing you can serve more players with less resources, right now people with a large FC house have a Personal Large house, with group of people out of the content.



Then, on top of this mountain of bad decisions, they decided to not limit the personal housing. So one character can buy a bunch of them in every city state. If you can't afford ,server wise, the load for personal housing, you have to manage your resources. Serving more people in the form of FC housing.



Yeah the neightbour feeling is nice, but is not affordable right now. you can't create such a disparity. FC housing for the ward and istanced for individual are a cool solution.



You got the neightbour in the form of your FC, and the full decision on the interior in your personal instanced house.

I see that makes a bit more sense , hmm sounds familiar coming from this game, errors and stuff on release tend to always happen that is pretty unfortunate. But I hope even if some couldnt get housing in the new area maybe some where able to pick up old houses in the older wards. But housing seems to have been a crisis this whole games lifespan so I cant be surprised its truely a game of luck which sucks for alot of people.

this is exactly what happened to me, i couldnt log in for 25minutes even though i could log in right after the servers went up, got in queue was 108 and at the loading screen to get into the game i got world data error thing and this lasted 25minutes!
