+1 SE spit to their loyal customers&fans todayThis housing thing, especially on Balmung, is unforgivable. The fact that I waited all night until 6am EST, clicked the play button the SECOND 6:00am rolled around, got KICKED FROM THE LOBBY, then stuck in a 2,400 person queue, and thus never even had a CHANCE at getting housing, is beyond unacceptable to me.
I waited a year for this, did everything I could, and it didn't matter a tiny bit. The housing problem in this game, especially on this server, is insanely out of control. I may actually leave this game over it honestly, and I doubt quite seriously I am the only one who feels that way.
Terrible job SE, you guys deserve to lose big on this one.
SE is a business company, this isn't about loyal customers/fans getting their shit. I bet you 50 million gil that most people here just played FF14 and didnt touch the others or just barely. I'm a die hard FF fan, does it make me obligated to get a house? Nope, again, this is only 1 way to do, is make more wards or instances, but again instances would ruin the ''immersion'' that people wants, actually people running around the ward and talking to people or see their houses on open gates.

ahh, "it would ruin Immersion", the same screed that people said to insist jumping should not be done.SE is a business company, this isn't about loyal customers/fans getting their shit. The majority of housing wards are not the vital hotbeds of activity you think they are. More often than not they are quiet.

The housing system is shoddy but we all knew what limited housing is like. What's unforgivable is the stability and lobby error issue. Do everything right only to get Insta kicked. Wether you obtained a house or not is not down to any form of planning, it was purely wether you won the rng lottery of not getting Insta booted from queue.
It's a joke that the decided delayed release of housing was best for the player base to prepare but seemingly did little to no preparation themselves to ensure stability. No. 2000000 in the queue fine, No. 100 in the queue and getting lobby errors not ok.
Side note I'm on a "low pop" everything was sold out in 6 minutes and the cherry on top, 6 FCs managed to bag a large the rest are all private.
At this point the only way things will change will be if people unsub in massive droves tbh.

What SE envisions: Everyone, finger on the button, ready to have an equally fair advantage, "may the best man win" and "if you get a house it feels special" and "whoever is the most dedicated gets it."
What actually happens: "Oh the launcher is broke 3 minutes before the patch, I guess 75% of the people get screwed."
It's not man vs man, in the race for a house. It's basically man vs technical instability of the servers, and may the luckiest man brave the pile of crap to get the house. SE knows how big of an issue this is and still can't even handle the demand that they're creating by not having more supply.
Yes, blah blah server blah blah more instability blah blah more wards. I get it. But they should be prepared for this. They were not. People got screwed out of a house because of it.

The best part about all this, is that in order for people to pay the scalpers they will need to most likely use RMT to afford the prices. Guess which end of that housing transaction is going to get off the hook, illicit gil and all? Hint: rhetorical question
Happiness is manditory.
Not being happy is treason.
Treason is punishable by death.

Been waiting years. We just don’t matter to SE.
Another thread filled with Balmung players surprised that playing on the most grossly overpopulated server means they have more competition for limited things.

Funny, I haven’t seen anyone surprised at all. Quite the opposite. People expected a load of garbage, and that’s exactly what we were handed.
Knew friends taking anxiety meds to deal with this crap. A game.. that they just want to enjoy.
It’s just disappointment upon disappointment. No surprise here.
A surprise would have been a functional system.
