Dear Square Enix,

I have been a very hardcore gamer and loyal customer of yours since I was wee-bitty. I jumped into Final Fantasy XI far too late to get any enjoyment out of it, and ended up playing for only a month. With great anticipation, I decided that Final Fantasy XIV would be my MMO, long before the game was ever released. Like many, I bought a new computer almost solely with being able to play Final Fantasy XIV in mind. I've played this game since open beta, and, barring a healthy share of absences, I've logged many hours in it since then. My screen-shots folder has over 1800 pictures in it. This game was a little part of my life, and it was supposed to be a place to relieve stress. Unfortunately, this game has caused more stress than anything. From day one the true test has not been mastering this game, but tolerating all the faults, and to some extent the ridiculous community. BG, TS, you get special mention. This game fails to entertain on any level, and any fun had is through effort and imagination on the player's behalf. Fun does not often occur naturally in Final Fantasy XIV. Through innumerable tiny points, brought up daily on the forums, you've made this game a frustrating time-sink, and tomorrow, a money-sink to boot.

Well, I can't bear to be a part of this mess any longer. I won't be logging in for much from now on, at least until 2.0 comes out. If it's any decent, maybe I'll re-roll and try to find the fun in this game again. If not, you will have had your last chance and I'm sure even the idiots who support you now will stop. At any rate, I'll keep my subscription going, because that's just the kind of Lala I am. To all the developers who were so proud of their work when they released this game, I'm sorry about the way it turned out. I appreciate the potential but can't stand where it's at right now. For this overall disappointing experience, I have to say I am no longer a believer.

In-game friends and Linkshell mates - You guys were all cool and I enjoyed helping you out and growing with you. I would say sorry for bailing but in all honesty most of you are gone already, and I've already shown you guys everything I know. If you ever needed me again you can contact me outside anyway. Blue Gartr, Triple Spark, and similar Linkshells - In case you couldn't tell, you guys irk me to the bone. How does it feel to trade your humanity just to be marginally better than me in a video game? (And that goes to BG onry cause TS you never stood a chance.)

Forum peeps! - I only recently started posting in this cesspool, but between criticizing the game I love and arguing with a bunch of strangers, this forum has succeeded in providing me entertainment in times of boredom. Keep it up!
