I'll NEVER be able to own a house

I logged in the second I saw servers were up to a 800 ish quene. Once I was in, I was able to look at ward 1 which was full so I moved to ward 2. Once inside, I set /busy on and moved as fast as I could to the plot a person who gave me cash to purchase picked. I got it and put up the building. Shortly thereafter, the ward was all bought out. The large near the house is owned by a FC someone is looking to sell and I doubt they are looking to make back what they paid. I can't report as I didn't see the name in PF to tell a GM. All you need is time and luck which shouldn't be needed. For a FC getting a house it should be simple. Desperate player and FC housing-make the former instanced wards that dynamically increase (maybe have them pay a small fee to the mogstation to afford the instancing servers) based on demand. Maybe also move wards from dead servers to be used for highly-populated worlds. Also, increase the max # of apartments. One house per service account (2 if FC leader & even better: one personal house per security token) PER server. That would alleviate the problem a little.

I live in Brazil as well and I have a house and then i changed server and i were also able to get a house on the new server that is more crowded that the one that i was before.
Ofc it were going to be hard to get a house in shirogane, everyone was aiming for it, even ppl that already had a house. But if you check everyday you'll eventually get a house cause of the demolition system, specially when there is less people playing, this is how i get mine. (Demolition system isn't working right now cause ppl on the board asked the devs to stop it for some weeks, but it'll be back soon)

what they should have done was set shirogane to auto open later in the day instead of when the servers came up that way it would have given everybody a chance to log into the game, i know it wouldnt solve a whole lot but at least you would get a chance rather then being stuck behind a queue without even a chance to try

I'm calling it BS. I live in Brazil too and used to have a house until I transferred. Didn't bother to get a new one, but I'm quite sure I could get one if I wanted. You're clearly overreacting

I'm not sure if it's possible for you, but if you switch to a low pop server you can definitely get a house if you don't care about where and what size! It may look disheartening to join a low pop server and see everything is taken already, but if you constantly check the housing wards (if the auto-demolish timer isn't paused) every single day (especially at off-peak hours) then you will see something open up! Before the timers on the NA servers were paused, I stalked lavender beds and saw tons of smalls and a few mediums open up. Larges are another case, but if you just want a house and don't care then it's possible on small servers if you're willing/able to transfer! I'm guessing it'll be even better between patches when people stop playing.

We all had the same chance and most of us even done pre plans to make sure we got the plot we wanted but as I found out it was the most intense thing ever just trying to get a home by luck I picked up a small plot I was 600+ in the que also a friend was 900+ in the que he also got a small house by luck but we have no chance of anything better and then today I see the dirt bags selling them and making a quick flip should SQE ban those accounts it's easy for them to run a script to see who purchased land and has that land changed hands ?

Same here. I'm a Brazilian player from Siren, playing on PS4 with a relatively good internet. Didn't have troubles downloading the launcher nor the patch, but since Siren is one of the prefered servers now, as soon as I managed to log in (after a 600+ ppl queue) most of the plots were already taken. Mind you, this all happened within what? 2-5 min after servers came back up. My FC mates and I have been working absurdly hard, crafting crazily, doing everything we can do, saving loads of money for three years and planned to relocate the FC house to Shirogane. In the end, all we got were launcher/patch download errors, an absurd queue for a server where usually a 20 ppl queue was already too long, and not even a chance to try to get a new plot for our home. Disappointing and unfair, to say the least.

I've long since accepted that I will never have a house in the game. For my characters in FCs, I am contenting myself to just having a private chamber all to myself. Which, in the grand scheme of things, I'm fine. I do feel bad for those players & free companies, whom have been saving gil months (if not a year or more) in the hopes of getting a plot in Shirogane.

Sadly, 2 of the FCs I have characters in, that were planning to relocate their FC houses to Shirogane, were unable to do so. They plots were purchased up in under 30 minutes. In the case of my main's server, the majority of the plots were purchased by a single free company (so that they can later resell them at over the original listing price).

For starters, I really wish something could be done about, what an FC mate dubbed, "scalpers".

Secondly, I wish that they had gone the route that EverQuest 2 did with their housing (I haven't played the original EverQuest since 2000, so I don't know if the game even has player housing). EQ2 housing was instanced. Multiple players could go to the same looking building, but inside each player got their own instanced version of the house.

But I understand that there are technical limitations that prohibits them from going that route. But a potato can dream, eh?

How about housing as a veteran reward for consistant players? it could work like it is a ward that no one can buy from this ward is rewards only making it fair. now if a person has no house they have a permit for a small and ones who already have a small have a option to move to medium so on so forth not these could be fc only or both fc or personal iether way its a fair and consistant way of doing this no buy option at all cutting out high price sellers too. just a thought.
