I hope a representative of SE reads this thread.
Today I logged into my account to purchase crysta, I was shocked to see that the methods of payment are incredibly unfair and quite frankly, out of date. Click and Buy is still the primary method, allowing me to make payments in £5 increments.
Why am I only able to make such payments when the monthly fee is £6.99? If I buy £5 worth of crysta, I am unable to play and in essence lose £5. If I buy £10 I am overcharged for a month by £3.01. The following month, I will be unable to add credit to turn this £3.01 into £6.99, forced once again to purchase an amount that quite frankly does not add up. Why is there no option for me to simply pay for X amount of months? I do not go into a store looking to purchase a £6 bottle of wine, present a £10 note and receive no change.
I read in the past that this sytem would be implemented, why has this not been a priority when SE is starting to charge consumers to play this game? Why am I being offered a discounted rate to play each month but in theory I am being overcharged as I have explained above? I am sorry, but this stinks of unfair trading where an offer is presented to a consumer but it is impossible for a consumer to receive this offer.
At the moment I will be paying for a game that is not finished. I want the opportunity to pay for this on a monthly basis and I believe you are robbing both myself and many other members of the community the opportunity to do this. I sincerely hope you will offer to refund the additional money that many consumers have had to pay before 6 January 2012.
I very much hope that an explanation can be provided.
