Having the same problem on ps4 after hotfix.
Can confirm was able to start patch download, complete it then proceed to log into FFXIV without a problem when using a different windows user account.
Logging back into main/administrator account then booting up ffxiv launcher and trying to log in via that way caused this error to reappear, what could be the cause of something like this?
Anyways temporary fix for now, create or try using a different windows user account and booting up the ffxiv launcher from there instead. It should work.

I try to use difference account but not work then I reinstall windows and using offline account forgot about microsoft account it work for me now.

Ok, so... I fixed the previous error with the "making another account on Windows" resolution, but now that patch 4.1.1 is on, my new account is having the same issue again =/
I'll try making a new user, but... if everytime a new patch is on I have to switch account, I may have one hundred accounts =/ anyone found a resolution for good?
