    While I can't confirm that second bit there, I sort of thought that like Susano was supposed to be singular manifestation of the Kami. The fact even the Red Kojin were surprised at his appearance also kinda implied to me that he, for lack of a better term, summoned himself. The kami residing within those three artifacts summoned an avatar of themselves as it were to perform their shenanigans. But that's probably more theory than concrete canon.

    I agree that Susano is extremely wierd as a primal because of his appearing but my point was to
    in the final kojin tribe quest everyone forgets that Tsukumo even existed in the first place and we are given the possibility of forgetting him too, the elder kojin said that he had a similar experience in the past and that begets the question of what kami really are, since I do not believe it to be an aftereffect of the materia anymore
